I was wondering if I use wrx injectors and pump maybe 02-07. If I could turn it up to 15 psi safely? Sounds sketchy but if do able. I'm all stock

You can run 15psi stock with a TD04, 3" exhaust, fuel cut defender, and a boost controller.

12psi max on a vf11.

There's a Post on here or NASIOC that the WRX pump flows LESS than a stock SS (get an STi). Also, there's no easy way to use '02-'07 WRX TOP-feed injectors either (use 440's from an EJ20G).

Please spend some time reading up on here about what it takes to run "BIGGER".

Robert gave you some info to get started...add a TMIC and more.

I figured all that. I'm not new to the turbo life. Just new to these older subarus. Seems like allot of work to get these cars to go any where. So for that reason being I've thought about just doing a swap. 2.5 wrx.

Not really a lot of work. Easiest thing to do is get 550 STi injectors, a bigger turbo, fuel pump, and a RobTube. You gotta do a lot of reading about these cars. A 2.5l WRX swap would be awesome, but it would require a whole harness change and a ton of work.

Ya and I'm fine with that because it would be worth it. I could buy a crashed wrx that has everything I need. A full donor. But also would the auto trans in my 93 legacy bolt up to any of the wrx trans? It's been rebuilt so it can take a little more power

The stock trans will bolt up. But you should do a 5spd.

No trans will bolt up to any trans. (Well i guess they could, but that's gross.....)

Just giving you crap

You serious about a 2.5 swap? Plan on documenting it at all? It's a pretty big process, I've been reading about it a lot lately because I'm getting ready to start a 205 swap.

Phase 1 and phase 2 automatic transmissions are not interchangeable.

Robert, no It's a 205 swap.

Technically it'll be a ej225 swap. ;-)

If I'm reading correctly it's going to be am ej22 with ej205 heads and stuff. Especially considering his question I answered last night lol.

Correct! My prefaced 92 is getting an ej22/205 head swap w/ dash and wiring etc etc... My 91 has a usdm ej20 w/ 22t heads and 22t gaskets.

To the original poster, I apologise for getting your thread way off topic.

So again to make sure. The auto trans from legacy will bolt up to a 2.5 wrx? 06-07. I understand I'll have to get a automatic wrx ecu. Or I thought about a 05-06 legacy gt full swap but the automatic

Eh... Someone with more knowledge of the newer cars will help you on that. There may be a problem with the speedometer, I think the speed sensor is different.

Is your transmission getting swapped out for a later transmission? If you're doing that and want a full swap then just buy a whole swap engine trans etc etc...

or are you trying to keep your transmission and bolt it up to an ej255?

the 98 impreza 4eat in my 91 bolted up to aUSDM ej20 with no problems. I did have to snag a bell housing dowel out of a spare block to put on the ej20 tho...

The transmission and engine will bolt together. The ecu won't care what transmission is connected as long as the wiring is done correctly and the tcu still gets the signals it needs from the ecu. You cannot run a phase 2 transmission in a phase 1 car or vice versa without a full wiring swap. But an engine swap will be alright using the original transmission if you do it right.

Cliffnotes, if you do a full WRX swap, you must use an auto WRX trans and wiring.

Youll be happy you use he newer trans, unless you frequent the drag strip the WRX one will handle more power fine. Plus the WRX has the VTD 4eat standard, it gives you a true center differential with rear torque bias and electronic clutch lockup. Eons ahead of other 4eats (heavy front bias most of the time, unable to spin the rear wheels faster than the fronts) or even the 5spd's viscous diff (one axles needs to slip before power can be transferred to the other).
