So cyl 3/4 are not sparking with RobTune. I'm not sure what's happening or why it's not sparking. I tried Robs converter and now the 2 ignitors with patch harness. Neither of those worked. The stock ECU runs the car just fine, no issues. But as soon as the RobTune is plugged in, it doesn't spark. I don't understand? If there was a wiring issue wouldn't it not work for the stock ECU either?
Any suggestions?
Here you can see the 4 wires from the ECU side coming off and going to the igniters (yes, I've plugged the igniters into the plugs they're just out right now) and then going into each igniter, returning into 1/2 and 3/4 wires. The grounds are also grounded in the patch harness.

Put the STOCK ECU back in and the stock igniter. The car sparks on all 4 now....
i'm at a loss. I just don't understand what's going on. Robs converter and now the patch harness aren't working..
The car wouldn't start with the 550's in.. pretty sure I've fouled my plugs at this point.
Another question - do the 2 ignitors need to be physically grounded other than the harness ground? I'm wondering if maybe I have a bad ground or something.. I just don't get how it works with stock ECU and doesn't with robtune.. i'm not changing any stock wiring and it all goes back to the 2 wires: 1/2 & 3/4. I'm thinking grounds might be the problem, maybe Pin 15 F47 - Ignition Ground. Something isn't right, maybe I can wire the coilpack directly to the ECU?

Physically grounding the coil pack or igniters should not be necessary. As long as the appropriate wired grounds are made you should be good.
If you swap the igniters between cylinders 1/2 & 3/4 does the problem always remain with cylinders 3/4? If the answer is yes, and you've verified the patch harness wiring, then I'd say there's likely something up with the ECU.
I will try that. But, now TWO RobTuned ECU's would have caused this same problem.... Since the car first came one, and I had the same problem using Rob's 2-4ch converter. The patch harness looks good, and was ran in noyst's wagon, same setup.
Should I ground the patch harness to a different ground, just to check? Instead of using the pinned ground at f47.15.

You can try, but I'd be more concern if that ground at the ECU is bad. Check the resistance from that pin to the negative terminal on the battery. If you have anything more than 0 ohms or slightly above that you may have an issue with the engine ground on the back of the # 4 intake runner.
Morning update. I put new plugs in, but it wouldn't fire up with the 550cc injectors. I replaced the fuel rails with stock, and the car started right up..
All I did was unplug the RobTune and put the stock ECU back in.

Double check your grounds for resistance to the neg. batt. terminal. A bad or intermittent ground will play hell with the ECU.
Also, did you swap ignitors, as Josh suggested, to see if the problem moved to the other cylinders?

I gutted an igniter just like phyraam did. Plugged it in, and plugged my RobTune in. I started it and it fired right up.
The only thing I didn't change was I left my stock injectors in, just to see if it would fire up. So if I out the injectors in, and it doesn't work then something is messed up. I think it's possibly maybe I plugged them in wrong? Idk. We will see!

I installed it. I put it all in and it was missing. It sparked on all 4 now! But one injector seemed stuck. So I pulled it out, and we tested it. It was clicking but really faint. Then we took it out of the injector and it seemed like it got unstuck. So we put it all back together and it fired up. What a relief..
So I went on a test drive. Even with a slipping clutch the car is FAST. holy crap. But I did notice my CEL flickering, for my knock light. So that has me worried.
But it works! Just hope my motor doesn't blow!

RoB addresses that directly in his documentation, and also Kimo's build thread (I know, it's long lol) talks about it. Its a feature of the tune.
