I had told myself I was through with subarus until I went through a succession of other brands with varying degrees of success. as luck would have it I found this beauty just a stone's throw away from home. She's already 5mt swapped by the previous owner. albeit missing 2nd, 3rd, R, but with the all important 1st gear to limp home.
the car has some pinstriping done to it in paint that I am not too wild about but am unsure if I have the skill to remove without damaging the factory paint which for the most part is pretty decent.

meet Tina!

I will get some close ups of the pin stripes... They will blow your mind.

Mike I'm in the Ballard area now and the Passat was wrecked about 3 years ago.

Delightful! Personally i would have gone with a different color like mint or lavender, but cream pink seems to work.

I have a stock SS tranny I'll cut you a deal on. You can drive it before you buy as its still in my SS

the car is set up 3.9 cable trans, got a JY replacement and I'm halfway through the swap right now. but greatly appreciate the offer. thinking of going 6mt if this one breaks. But I don't plan to drive it too hard or turn up the power too much.

No pinstriping! I need to remove mine someday, as I have different door and fender than came from the factory.

I like your tranny jack! pretty creative.

How does she run now?

I think I have some of it left on a rag at the bottom of the trash can i could grab for you :)
took a mixture of unicorn piss and gypsy tears to get it to come off

she runs great but the "low miles" clutch slips :x it slips at about 4k in 3rd

really contemplating a 6sp now. its only money right?

If you are game for pulling your tranny or engine another time, you can convert to 06/07 wrx clutch kit, flywheel and clutch fork, along with a hydraulic master & slave and hydraulic pedal set. Easy, right? ;)
