Frankenmotor woes

96 BG with an 25d/22e hybrid on the original 22e ecu. I am experiencing a bog below 2k over half throttle. I know I have a bad injector seal on number 1, so I'll be doing both one and three, subsequently resetting the ecu. I'm unsure of which injectors I'm using, and can't recall what color, even. Any other ideas, tps perhaps?

More to follow.

I'd say fix the seal and then go from there.

yeah...there are a few other builds - LINKS

:-)

Injectors are either gray or red and same 280cc, from what I've read.

Injector seals made no change. Evap lines were incorrectly routed, fixed that, no change. bad wires, fixed, no change. gonna look at the valve lash again tomorrow morn. They have a nasty habit of getting WAAAYYYY out of spec too quickly, somehow. That's the next riddle to solve before I burn the bitch to the ground.

Do the heads have smooth valve covers, or do they have raised lines and say 16 valves?

That'd be interesting since 96 heads have HLAs and take no valve adjustment. Not to infer that his 96 vehicle has 96 heads though, what with all the other modifying.

Still have the factory airbox, or do you have a cone filter bolted to the MAF? If you don't have the stock airbox, get one. Clean the MAF. Check and replace spark plugs, wires, all the standard tune-up stuff.

Heads are from 97 EJ22e, block is 25D. Cat's are fine. Air box is stock, tract is clear. I'm thinking the valves came out of adjustment, didn't get to look at it. Huge construction mishap cost me my oil pan and bumpers, currently sorting that out. Picked up an auto 98 LSL in the meantime.
