Still thinking about rotational mass... Have any of you experimented with aluminum shafts or one vs. two-piece assemblies?

I haven't heard of anyone doing this. The rotational mass may be more due to the weight of the steel, but the driveshaft mass isn't very far from the "center" of the driveshaft. So I really don't know how much gains/improvements you would see.
