Will it be possiable to do the swap? I know the EJ20G is the easier way but for the chance to get the WRX with the ECU, its hard to refuse to swap it!!! Tell me how hard and impossiable to do it and make me reject my friend's offer, I know I am short on money but the engine is lovely to have on a BC...

check the oil cooler first, I did think my head was blow but endup I found it was crack oil cooler (don't ask me why it crack but I know oil and coolent did mix from there). Check it first or you could by pass it since 92-94 don't have oil cooler and it shouldn't affact too much on the oil temp. Goo...

Hi Vrg3 ,I was clean the rad. once and after I refill the coolant, I could see the oil in the coolant reservor instantly, Maybe I should try your method this time and hope it should be one of them to cost this problem so I could find a better solution. BTW, can I bypass the oil cooler line?

My machanic just called me and told me that the head gasket is in good condition and we now have no idea that what happened to my engine oil in coolant mixture!
Does anyone has any idea to know what other possiable way to check ?

Hi People , just near to finish the head gasket swap but found out that I have to replace the intake manifold gasket as well.
I have a JDM ej20G engine and I would like to know could which intake manifold gasket should I use, are the ej22t one or the wrx one?

Check if it a SOHC or DOHC, if its a SOHC then its a USDM ej22t, but if you see its a DOHC, then it will be the JDM, but make sure its real EJ22 on the block, if not ,then he just telling you thats maybe an EJ22 N/A engine. Just go to check and make sure before you go buy it!

One think I would like to know about is the troque spec. on those head bolt?
Can anyone could give an idea what will be the ft-lb of troque on the EJ20G engine?

Hi all, just found an metal headgasket for my EJ20G engine but one thing that the shop asking me is, do we needs to replace a new head bolt or will the old one could be reuse? The shop that selling me the metal headgasket told me that the head bolt could be reuseable does he right? I haven't been do...

There is a dealer in Montreal that offer me a metal headgasket, but they can't verify it will fits on EJ20G or not.....
