Re: Odd sound in engine bay in ACC mode? +Other issues
I'll give that a try. Need to move the car out of the garage first though, don't want to blow the house up with the fumes. We have a bunch of heaters and other things in there... not the safest place to be having a leak.

Odd sound in engine bay in ACC mode? +Other issues
Hey folks, Title explains itself. Also put this in my build thread. When I put the car into accessory mode, after about 5 seconds, a rapid ticking noise is coming from the engine bay. At the same time, the sound of a relay going off is happening under the dash at the relay box thing. When the relay ...

Re: Alex's 1993 Legacy L (PIC HEAVY)
Thanks! Go for it, the results are great. Glad to see someone local as well. Now, unfortunately, I actually haven't tested it on the road, but inside, well, it's difficult to hear people yelling at me from the inside. The only issue now is the common wind noise issue from the mirrors. In an effort t...

Alex's 1993 Legacy L (PIC HEAVY)
Hey everyone! Been gone for awhile, but I've been lurking about the forums for quite some time getting information on my car. Decided I should start my car's own thread so both you guys and I can keep track of my progress. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of time or money to work on this, so it'll ...

Re: Dashboard Removal?
I took the dash out of '92-in there really well! I couldn't pull it out until I forced the steering column down-no puller available no air bag ether. Did you disconnect the entire harness and pull it away? I found it can hang up the removal. I had to force the steering column down as well, it was t...

Dashboard Removal?
Hey folks, Back with another question, still kind of new to this so sorry for all of my questions! I've looked about through the BBS forum, various social media groups and other forums but I can't find any information. So I got the dash pretty much out, but it seems like its getting caught up somewh...

Re: Ej20G Swap - What to expect?
It seems like that's where they're hitting me on pricing; the quote basically showed a new wiring harness is needed… I thought for an EJ20G the harnesses are near completely compatible with older 1st gen Legacys, for both N/A and SS models (with N/A requiring a few more wires and sensors ofc)? Speak...

Re: Ej20G Swap - What to expect?
Appreciate the reply. I'm certainly not looking for crazy HP. 300chp (With a Rob tune) on a car that, IIRC, is about 500lbs lighter than an 04 WRX is plenty for me, and an EJ20G is within my cheapo budget. Plus, I think the Ej20G is a bit simpler in terms of plug-and-play application...

Ej20G Swap - What to expect?
Hey everyone, So I just got quoted over $6000 for an Ej20G Swap into a 93 Legacy L. That's no where near what I was hoping to pay, considering Ej20G swaps into older 1st gen Legacies are supposedly one of the easiest swaps you can do. From what I know, the actual wiring harness from the L can be use...

Re: Front Seats Removal
Appreciated! Got the seats out with a large crescent wrench and a bit more PB. Found the bolts underneath the trim as well. Ashtray issue solved using a bit for a screwdriver. Cheers!

Front Seats Removal
Hey folks, I'm Alex. I'm 16 years old and finally got my first car, and Subaru which I'm already jumping into it (father-son project, but I'm the one who knows a bit about these things) It's a 1993 Legacy L AWD without ABS :) with plans to EJ20G swap it. Waiting on a quote right now. So first off, I...
