The DP will bolt up to the turbo fine. I don't know about after the DP. There won't be an O2 bung at the top. I think they're only like 2.5" at the most. And the ebay coffee cans sound just fine. :)

Would this 97-00 turbo-back exhaust work well?

I just found a bunch of these 97-00 turbo-back exhaust systems on ebay. Does anyone know how well these would fit on our SS'? Look, it even has the mount for the DP to trany... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/97-00-Subaru-Impreza-WRX-STI-Turbo-Back-Catback-Exhaust_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33630QQih...

My friend, "92whitelegacy" put pretty much the same set-up in his car. I remember him having problems too. I think all it was, was a leaking intercooler hose. I don't remember if it caused a knock sensor code or not though.

Is It worth Stroking? &VF22 seals?

I have a '92 SS and my motor seized a while ago. Now I'm looking to rebuild it cuz my Mits broke down and I need a good car for winter. Anyways, I was wondering. Is it really worth stroking it? I want it to be strong. I also would like it to be able to rev higher if I'm gonna put money in to it. Do ...

WTB: Short Block EJ20/22/25 T or NA

I need a short block so I can get my subaru running for winter since my stupid mitsubishi broke down. I'm looking for one in Colorado that I can pick up. Please PM me if you have anything.
Thanks, Josh

The older ej20's used the thick HG. And the newer ones use the thin metal shim HG. I don't know if you can find the thick ej20 HG, can you? I used the metal shim HG on my JDM EJ20 and I could barely get the intake manifold bolts in. I think this cause the heads to pull away from the block and may ha...

This just happened to my friends legacy. His skipped because the rubber dust seal on the plastic timing cover behind the cam gear came off and got in between the belt and the gear.
If that was was what happened in your case you'd probably notice cunks of torn seal inside the covers.

The NA y pipe is not cast. I had to reweld mine because it broke one side off the Y and it's been like that now for well over 30k miles. Personally once I need to replace mine i'm just gonna make one myself. Yeah I'm not sure why I said cast. When I welded it, I tried doing it on the car. It was a ...

That seems like a good plan. You can't beat the EJ22 turbo block tho... I want to eventually import one and throw the ej22's bottom end in.

All the above and an impact gun. Good call. My buddy has one. I'll see if I can steal it Sunday. Good luck fitting an impact in there. And you probably need a decent sized compresser/tank. Usually when I use impacts from home I get better results using my hands. If the 14mm socket doesn't fit easil...

It's just callerd an exhaust header. You already found out it's one piece, and you already contacted a junk yard which would have been my suggestion. Unless you wanted to go with something that performed a little better. You could probably find a cheap header on EBay for about $200. If your a bit ha...

Now I just need to decide... Perrin or B&B...
