Re: Big brake swap w/ new coated calipers & drilled rotors,

I recon it's a review / parts tip post? $200 is what it cost from RockAuto, I just thought the part source and application ID might be handy for some, and the price tag & pics be motivating. I'd sure have jumped on it sooner if I'd known it could be done for $200 :D

Re: Led side marker retrofit/new driving lights/marker flash

They also have a sequential turn signal built in that I haven't figured out yet... do our cars switch the grounds for our marker/turn signals?? Can you explain the sequential turn signal? Also, what do you mean by "switching" ground? The white LED DRL's I installed have 'switchback' amber...

Led side marker retrofit/new driving lights/marker flash mod

So i got tired of my cheap ass buying cheap Chinese LED bulbs that keep glitching out or dying completely, so I retrofitted some Blazer brand LED 'dot' marker lights into my side markers, and some larger LED trailer marker lamps into the OE ones I'd already put in the bumper cover (the cheap junk th...

Re: ecu grounding

This is good stuff, extra grounds can definitely fix/improve things on an older car. Subaru's might not have this problem but putting dedicated fat ground wires to the headlamps on my old Ford gave me much more light output :D

Glass headlamps shipped to 24501?? I'm ready to pay now (assuming the mounts are in tact and the reflective inside is still shiny), in case the others interested thought your price was too high :)

LED/DRL overkill???

There's got to be a line somewhere...

It all started when I found a pre-face waggin at the junkyard and saw what the cut-outs in mine were for :D

Dude! There's a '90 waggin at a junkyard near us... I'll tell you where if you promise to not take anything but the hood before I get another whack at it this weekend :) :)
Good to see a local :D I'm new to Roo's but not to automotive obsession 8) 8)

Added a couple more blue lights and the sound response module finally :D Most of my non bulb-replacement LEDs are some variation of these. Also a pic of the 10" Cerwin Vega's I've had for about 15 years and still going strong! http://www.supermotors.net/getfile/1131008/fullsize/94clroo1.jpg htt...

Re: So glad to find a forum just for 1st gen :) :) :)

I tried on the 15" alloys I found... can anyone tell me what these would have come on from the factory?? I like them, they definitely look 'proper' but the 16"s will be going back on. Handling is night & day better with the 16"s and I've gotten used to it. These are just no fun :D...

Re: So glad to find a forum just for 1st gen :) :) :)

Oh yeah, interior porn shot of the '02 outback's interior. My friend's wife took VERY good care of it, she's one of those car-always-clean types, and always up on scheduled maintenance. My only complaint is some pretty rough vibration when idling in gear... it's NOT the heat shields... I tried to tw...

Re: So glad to find a forum just for 1st gen :) :) :)

I'm looking forward to it :D :D Purging the Ford parts will make some room, that's how committed I am. I have a large basement to fill, and no wife/kids to share it with. Most of my married friends say I should keep it this way??? And thanks! The under-hood lights are just a couple waterproof LED po...

What are our options for window rain guards???

Do we even have any? lol... not having a window frame seems to make it tricky... One of the only things that turns me off about the 94 is getting dripped on while smoking with the window cracked in the rain. Would it be easier to just quit smoking? :D Also I'm getting a drip from the top-rear corner...

I got a little room left yet! Here's a lousy pic of some LED DRL type things and 'check yer oil' lights. Stuff like this is so cheap now, it's silly NOT to do it :D :D And i accidentally bought some 2000's era (I think?) Impreza wheels and what i think are the regular boring 15" alloys for late...

Score! How much for just the coolant pipes and a dipstick & tube? Those seem like good things to have spares of :)
And what kind of shape is that harmonic balancer in?
Thanks
