Re: 20g vs 25d intake manifold

Thats an idea i might have to actually try out. I just found out yesterday its actually a 20k heads and manifold my buddy has in his hands. Im trying to convince him to let me buy it them lmao. Otherwise in the mean time. It looks like JUN is the only company making 20k cams which should fit the 25d...

20g vs 25d intake manifold

Just wondering if anyone knows how well the 20g intake manifold flows compared to the 25d manifold??? My current setup is a 22e/25d hybrid, yellow top injectors, vf48 turbo, speedyefi standalone ecu, and ive got her tuned on 16psi right now. Just wondering if i would gain any benefits from the 20g m...

Re: Spinnyups old 92

Im wondering how well the whiteline roll centre kit worked out for you? I like as much steering feel as possible. Also, which aluminum control arms did you end up buying? Ive seen a little conflicting info on whats the right length and what isnt. Reson im asking is because im pulling the trans next ...

Re: Spinnyups old 92

I really like that silver adapter plate you have. Guessing you made it? How'd you figure out the proper size? That silver piece has been my main complication on switching to top feed.

Re: Spinnyups old 92

Did i read that correctly? Your injectors will go from side feed to top feed...meaning the injector itself plugs straight into the manifold with no adapter or do you still need adapters in the manifold? Ive been looking around at different options for top feed injectors for P1 manifolds. So far the ...

Re: Standalone ECU Wiring HELP please.

Good news. I have solved all of my wiring issues. Mainly by adding a few extra ground wires to the harness. More good news. The car had perfevt sync off of the 36-2-2-2 crank gear immediately and fired up pretty quick. She was running super rich at first. Around a 10.2 afr. I definitely need to play...

Re: Standalone ECU Wiring HELP please.

Back again lol. So now i believe im having a voltage drop issue. I have all the wiring to the fishdog nicely done and connected. Tunerstudio (TS) shows the batterys voltage at 12.0 eventhough im seeing 12.6 at the battery with a volt meter. Then while cranking, TS only shows 10.0v. How much voltage ...

Re: Standalone Ecu question for the OGs

I dont see why not. I haven't shared any of my tune info through email but im sure i can figure it out. I can probably just post some pictures on here too if you'd rather prefer that. I went ahead and set my iacv duty cycle to 50 across the whole table to help myself try to get it started up. All en...

Re: Standalone Ecu question for the OGs

The software im using is Tunerstudio to tune the ecu. I have just about every option all the bigger companys do as far as tuning the car goes. I can view and modify my maps offline, take data logs, and change variables in real time with the motor running. I definitely should go pick up a battery cha...

Standalone Ecu question for the OGs

Some of you might have seen me posting on here every so often. Mainly with questions. This one is for the few of you that have applied a standlone to our cars. So i have the ecu all wired up and its working great. Ecu i went with is a Speedyefi fishdog or otherwise known as a UA4C board. My interest...

25d manifold sti injector issue

i feel like a dummy. I keep flooding the engine with the injectors. I bought new orings and it feels like they all seal fine inside the fuel rails. Now, all of my injectors are missing the center rubber pieces in the caps, ontop that cover the pin sticking upwards. As i prime my fuel system i can he...

3 wire coil pack to 4 wire diamond pack.

So, ive had a nice project going for the last 7 months. I have a question about upgrading my coil pack though. I was only able to find 1 thread on swapping from the old 3 wire coil pack to the newer 4 wire diamonds that came on newer subies. As far as i know i believe i have to bypass my cars origin...

Re: Standalone ECU Wiring HELP please.

Thanks dude, the ex manifold n up pipe were rotated to have a straight path for the turbos intake. Tuning is definitely an art form. The car is no longer my daily driver so it'll be a whole learning process along the way. I have a few buddy's who have done this ecu swap already and are willing to he...

Re: Standalone ECU Wiring HELP please.

You just clarified everything I needed to know man. I appreciate all the input and patience. As far as I know iv got everything hooked up right and it should be ready to go. Re: Standalone ECU Wiring HELP please.

It's all good man. I appreciate the input you're helping me with. Seems like you have a few things connected that I do not. What is mainly concerning me is the starter, idle, and A/C switches you have connected. Are those what sends power to your ecu? I noticed you didnt use either of the 2 control ...

Re: Standalone ECU Wiring HELP please.

1. I was a big dummy a couple days ago. The 5v reference goes into the TPS not the IACV. Pwm1 and 2 are the closed/open circuits for the IACV. 2. I think I solved my issue with the self shut off wire. It needs to see 12v, and my SpeedyEFI does not have a spot for the ignition switch to run through i...

Re: Standalone ECU Wiring HELP please.

I'm currently apart of the subaru NA/T forum which has both of the speedyefi guys on it. Issac has been a great help along the way. Unfortunately i cant get quite a straight answer for it. I went with the fishdog because it has everything (or so it seems) that our older simpler engines need to run a...

Standalone ECU Wiring HELP please.

Little background here. I rebuilt a 22e recently with 25d heads and intake. Going to use this hybrid motor until I have my 22t block filled with forged internals. I'm using the stock 22e engine harness, connectors, and original wiring throughout the car to keep it somewhat simplified. I have 90% of ...

Yeah I hate how strict the states is with a lot of shit. I wanna move out pretty badly, it's not fun here lol. I would love a set of 20k heads but that'll be for the next project. Those ej20k heads are nice for sure. Totally jealous of that setup man. Was it difficult to get the elite 1000 all wired up properly? Shes going to be a monster when you get it retuned again. Seeing this gives me tons of motivation to keep going

Damn bro. Those are some badass numbers for 12psi. Do you know what your comp ratio was with those 98sti heads? Cant wait to see what itll do with 1000cc injectors.

Re: Spinnyups old 92

Yeah mine will be gettin all new interals reworked over this winter. I bet she's one hell of a fun ass car now with those power levels. I love these kinds of builds bc people dont usually expect an older subaru to just take off. Sounds like whichever brand pistons I go with, theyre gunna slap at me ...
