Ok, its one of "those" parts that's usually better bought new. The part is around $200 Cdn so I thought I could save myself a little money but if you figure its probably no better than the last one there's no real point. Are there any decent online parts places for Subaru that sell OEM at ...

Where would the O2 sensor be on a '91 Legacy LS ?

Since it really sounds like my O2 sensor has gone south I'd like to explore the idea of pulling one of a wreck. There's a yard very close to me and I have a few days off, its starting to get cold out so the sooner the better. - Anyone have a diagram or picture showing the location of the O2 sensor ?...

The computer is meant to control idle speed through the IAC valve. If the IAC valve is sticking, you might try cleaning it. Yes, the IAC valve was what I was referring to. He said it was totally siezed and cleaning it didn't help. I know we're not supposed to move the idle but the car was stalling ...

O2 sensor would be a good guess. Has it ever been replaced? The car was well warmed up when you took it for the test right? IE: 30 minutes or so on the highway, and then right in for the test? If not, the catalytic converters may have been cold, which would contribute to the higher emmissions. How ...

Failed my emissions test, couple of questions

Car is a 91 LS Wagon 5sp with 230km's. Took it in for testing and it failed the CO% test. IDLE Limit =1.00 / Car did 2.26 2500 RPM = 1.0 / Car did 7.27 I don't have the test results from two years ago but I do recall the car passing with flying colours. Since then two main things have happened. - He...

This was taken when I first bought the car back in 2001. You can slide underneath to change the oil without raising the car. http://vortex1.no-ip.com/all/subaru/mine/legacy_side.JPG Of course, what's a Subaru if you can't get it dirty. This was "by accident" , I got lost in heavy rain goin...

You guys haven't seen my Legacy yet , its two tone gold, it really sits high like an Outback for some reason (more so than the other Legacy wagons of the same age) and even moving fast it looks like its parked.

Thanks for the info guys ! My LSi is AWD so that's good. Its not exac tly a "performance" car so I won't be doing many hard corners. Good to know its going to fit. I guess these are aftermarket steelies, they're the ones painted black. Certainly not alloys :)

Will 205/55/16 fit a '91 Legacy Wagon LSi ?

I recently found a good deal on a set of snow tires from a WRX owner. I now own a set of OEM steelies with 205/55/16 rubber. Just putting them up against the Legacy they appear taller than the 195/65/15's already on there. Can anyone tell me if these will fit or not ?

What's wrong ? - RPM's rise & fall @ idle only

Car is a '91 Legacy Wagon LS 5sp This is something rather new. Started about 1.5 months ago . At first it was just a little annoying but lately its caused my car to stall every so often so its a PITA now. What happens is when the car is left to idle , sometimes the rpms with go up & down and on ...
