Re: 94 legacy ej22t speed cut? need help

I have a 92' with a swapped-in EJ22t--turbo ECU and 4EAT. boost cut at approx 11lbs-boost cut possible from TCU or do I need FCD for my ECU? Tuner said stock ECU has the cut; any ideas?

:) I had a custom turbo install which utilized my NA Borla headers, stock crossmember, etc. I later added an MSD Dis-2 (which I`m selling now due to use of the Unichip) and SMC alcohol injection. I later added an MBC and played with all of it to get a very respectful result. Just make sure you have ...

 I`ve used the Borla headers for both NA and now a turbo application (includes a custom up & down pipe fitted on a Garrett GT28R) with no negative issues. You`ll probably lean out your mixture some with headers but the computer should adjust for this condition. It depends on what you`re lo...

I`ll be in SoCal from 6/25 thru 6/27 for my sister`s funeral so that date would be out for me. My new engine needs more breaking in so the sooner we can get together at a neutral place, the better. Do keep us all posted as I know we can get this done!........ROD

:D If you have the bucks, a Garrett GT28R (290 hp) or a GT28RS (350 hp) will work great. They completely spool by 3k rpm and blow alot more air than a T3/T4 setup. I ran the 28R on my NA 2.2 for a couple of years and am now upgrading to the RS. I run a 4EAT and was very pleased with the results. Jus...

Garrett $$$$$$

 Sorry, I forgot to address the cost of the turbos. Either GT28 will run approx. $750.00 or more depending on your source. If you find someone who has a decent and not gouging markup, it`s not too bad. Good luck......Rod

:D I`m using the stock turbo heads that have been ported, cc`d and set up with roller rockers, titanium retainers, stainless int. and ex. valves + the combustion chamber has been thermo-coated like the forged piston tops. This was done to protect the motor from high boost, 91 octane gas and metanol/...
