Re: 94 legacy ej22t speed cut? need help
I have a 92' with a swapped-in EJ22t--turbo ECU and 4EAT. boost cut at approx 11lbs-boost cut possible from TCU or do I need FCD for my ECU? Tuner said stock ECU has the cut; any ideas?

:) I had a custom turbo install which utilized my NA Borla headers, stock crossmember, etc. I later added an MSD Dis-2 (which I`m selling now due to use of the Unichip) and SMC alcohol injection. I later added an MBC and played with all of it to get a very respectful result. Just make sure you have ...

:D If you have the bucks, a Garrett GT28R (290 hp) or a GT28RS (350 hp) will work great. They completely spool by 3k rpm and blow alot more air than a T3/T4 setup. I ran the 28R on my NA 2.2 for a couple of years and am now upgrading to the RS. I run a 4EAT and was very pleased with the results. Jus...

 Everyone seems to think the stock EJ22T heads are`nt good enough for the street---WRONG!!! As has been said before, put your money where it`ll do the most good, ie: intercooler, engine management, better pistons, rods, etc. My heads after being LIGHTLY ported, CC`d, stock size s.s. valves, t...

Garrett $$$$$$
Sorry, I forgot to address the cost of the turbos. Either GT28 will run approx. $750.00 or more depending on your source. If you find someone who has a decent and not gouging markup, it`s not too bad. Good luck......Rod

Garrett and 2.2 heads....
:D I`m using the stock turbo heads that have been ported, cc`d and set up with roller rockers, titanium retainers, stainless int. and ex. valves + the combustion chamber has been thermo-coated like the forged piston tops. This was done to protect the motor from high boost, 91 octane gas and metanol/...

:D There are specific stud kits for the 2.5 AND the 2.2 (see my note "I`ve said this before.."). When my correct 2.2 studs arrive, I`ll measure the two and advise the difference if you still need the info. BTW, ARP has over 100 sets in stock for the 2.2; they just need to be packaged for s...

 If you order a stud kit from APS, make sure they`re the ones for the 2.2 and not the 2.5 (which are too short.) Another week....sigh....before the car is fired. I used Arias (or Paeco did) for my forged pistons. They now have the castings for the EJ22T and can produce pistons in any format and CR (mine are 9:1) in a reasonable amount of time. I`d suggest Arias as Tony Rigoli and EasyStreet both use them exclusively; look at the performance they achi...

2.4 EJT--how you get there
:D When Paeco did my block, we went with a 1/2" stroke with a .040" overbore (it will take a .060" bore safely according to them.) I know that I-Speed`s engine builder was a little leery about my overbore but we`ll see fairly soon. He sleeves all his 2.4, 2.6 and 2.8 blocks so that`s ...

:D Just talked to Wayne at RC Engineering about the injectors I just sent to be cleaned and balanced; good info was received! Based on their knowledge, the 380cc injectors were good to about 300 HP, 440cc size to about 360 HP and 550cc injectors would be needed to go above that. This assumes all oth...
