But yeah. I like my Legacy and I'm actually looking forward to rallycrossing her on the blown front struts. I think it'll be easier to get the weight forward for turning. Oh boy! :D I BET you'll get that weight forward! I rallycrossed several times on shocks that had already seen 100k miles and the...

LegacySE -
You probably don't need new springs. I know your floaty feeling - it's just because your shocks are worn out. Replace the shocks with Gr2's like everyone recommends and you will be very happy.

You all are correct. The new 2.5T sounds very different from what I have in my RS. This is from Subaru's site The 2.5-liter horizontally opposed ("boxer") four-cylinder engine is based on a specially reinforced "semi-closed deck" engine block with forged aluminum alloy pistons, f...

On top of that, if the radios are built in Taiwan, and the seats are built in Korea, does it really matter where the you snap the last few parts together? From what I understand, "final assembly" does not amount to much in the whole big picture. The fact is, whether you are buying a Dodge ...

Foreign car haters are misinformed. There's no such thing as a foreign or domestic car anymore - they are all multi-national. They're assembled from parts made all over the world, and very little other than a final assembly is done in the US. That's true of domestic cars just as much as foreign cars...

Legacy is heavy PLUS you saw the effect of the heavy wagon-butt. You're right that springs from a Legacy would be better, but the best match would be springs from a wagon. Both the spring and the gas shock will seem slightly more squishy under the added weight as compared to how it felt on the GC8. ...

I agree, what a monster.

forged internals (as you say) and the Active Valve Control System(anything like VTEC?) and I'm guessing a closed deck, too. If that's all correct, then I'm guessing this 2.5 will have almost nothing in common with the EJ25. Any thoughts?

WRX STI will have 2.5T ???

Did everyone see that Subaru just unvieled the WRX STI version in Detroit with a *2.5L* turbo!!!! 300hp and 300 torque. I wonder if they came up with a closed-deck version of the 2.5? Or if they managed to squeeze a reliable 300hp out of the standard 2.5 design? No matter what, the extra displacemen...

I found a good price on AGXs for 93-01 Impreza. Would those work for stock 90 Legacy wgn AWD? (about $385 delivered) That's a very good price. It worked for me - I asked for the AGX's that fit my '00 Impreza RS - but I installed them on my 90 Legacy L Wagon AWD for as long as the car lasts....
