After tons of bleeding, it's no better. Can't hardly shift. Oh well, I will order parts and replace them on my next visit in September.

Thanks for the info. I think you have a post-facelift slave cylinder? I don't think my slave has a banjo fitting. It has a hard line leading to it, and I can't quite see the coupling, but I don't think it's banjo. I might have to cook up some variation on what you did. For now, looks like I'm just b...

Hmmm... I just tried and seem to have a problem. The hose from the slave cylinder to the damper is too short to reach all the way to the master cylinder. Any ideas? Is this a pre-facelift issue? L777: Did you do this with post-facelift parts? I read somewhere that post-facelift has a soft hose all t...

Thoughts on removing clutch damper?

Hi all - long time no talk! Just back from London visiting my old car and doing a little work on it. Those who've bypassed the clutch damper: Did you ever have any problems later? Any tranny problems due to the "less damped" clutch? I read the searches, but it's been a while since there wa...

I have had the TurboXS FCD. Works well enough. Then again, defending fuel cut is not exactly hard or complicated.

As VRG said, the raising the fuel cut feature seemed useless to me because the sensor doesn't actually go much higher than the stock level anyway.

Bringing an old thread back from the dead as I'm starting to put my ducks in a row to start building my SS and am starting to research into a good wideband unit that I can use to do some tuning with after exhaust, turbo, meth inject, etc.... Have you all been pretty happy with this unit as you've u...

Probably very little performance difference. Electronic gives you adjustability and maybe some other random features. MBC is reliable, cheap, does the job fine.

Pretty sure they spray just water. That's what I used, and I left all winter. Still works, so I guess freezing doesn't hurt??? If you rig up a windshield washer system as IC spray, you might think about using nozzles designed for an IC spray instead of windshield nozzle. Subaru dealers can sell you ...

I don't know if the system would really be better than a water sprayer in the end. Thing is, you might be able to get CO2 colder than water (if you actually manage to hook up a system that can pipe it without warming it), but H20 has insane specific heat and energy of evaporation, which is just as i...

Actually, most of the posts were relevant and constructive in tone (except for mine). Are you wasting your time with this forum? I'd say vice versa. The information you request has been kicked around before on this forum and much more on nasioc's "conversion" area. So, you are asking the f...

Nope. Disregard what BXSS said. He is correctly speaking about one type of MBC, but it's just that he doesn't understand how a ball-and-spring MBC works.

What to do to a car that won't be driven?

How do you store a car for a few years? It's at my mom's house while I'm living in London. They're supposed to drive it regularly to keep it alive, but they probably only get around to driving it once or twice a month. They don't have a garage for it. Should I mothball it? How? Would it last better ...

Should work. I have a Hallman, I think the exact same model, and I was up at 12-13psi no prob. As a separate issue: Don't plumb it off the intake manifold, plumb it from the compressor to the MBC to the wastegate. That way you won't overboost the turbo at part throttle. Doesn't answer your question,...

As far as I know, it's got a stereo. I think he put one in when he bought it from me. As for making the 2500 mile trip back, it'll probably do it. I haven't owned the car for a long time, and it's changed a lot since I did own it. I can't guarantee you that it'll make it, but I don't see why it wou...

I have a TurboXS (not the RFL) and it sounds much quieter than most. But still, even if it doesn't sound loud, the bass note carries, and people inside know when I pull up out front.
