Been a while but my rally Legacy is still blasting up and down the highways in MA I'm working in Costa Rica this month and spied this.... http://crautos.com/usados/economicos-us ... c=92538734
Might be tempted but at $4000? Tax is 100% here on the car price.

Yes Barrett is correct. I ran GR2's with King springs and bent the struts on the first rally in CA(rough stages) then swapped to 04 STI struts which I wedged(see my link for photos) and fitted 250LBS King springs all round. The struts did not bend but did go off a little on stage due to insert valvi...

I feel your pain guys! I did the same thing but only after years of engine building did i figure all is not well. I just thought the figure was way to high and but pressed on(my first Subaru build). Now I take my time with builds and just thought the torquing up up seemed to be doing nothing. So I s...

Legacy is still running in MA
Folks! It's been a while since I venture onto this site since my move to MA. I spend most of my time working in Costa Rica and the rest of the time driving the Legacy to work in Marlborough. Ok now a exactly rallying but still a buzz to drive the old girl to work and watch the locals look in wonder ...

I've traveling alot and have not had time for special stage or here. I was in Germany for one week, then Hungry, then of course down in Costa Rica. Throw in visits around the East coast then this does not leave much time. I'm having fun in the Legacy going to work and can't wait for the snow to play...

Checked the car over this weekend. Turns out the rear anti-roll bar(sway bar) bushes on the lateral arm were toast. I had some better old ones and fitted them. I noticed shiney metal so I figure this was the clunking noise. Also the diff beam bolts were a little loose where they boltt up to the floo...

I've just noticed something similar on the rear of the rally car. I drive it to work everyday and because of rally seats you can feel every bump/clunck. So on slow speed bumps and turns I feel a metal knock/clunk on the drivers side rear. I supsect the front trailing arm bushing is shot. So I'll do ...

The engine is now running very well, enough to brake away the soft rally tyres on tarmac when lauching, sometihing the weedy 2.2L counldn't do! I had lots of input from here and Special stage to fix my problem. Main problems were o2 sensor wiring, fuel pressure and fuel pump. I fitted an adjustable ...

WANTED ....MAF and ECU in the Bay area?
If you read in Electrics you will see I'm having a few teething problems with my new engine. I wanted a 2.2L MAF and ECU to either buy or try this weekend while I'm working up in the Bay Area this week. I can pick up in the evening. Can anyone help? PM me or post here. Your efforts will get the Lega...

I couldn't find the wire to check the codes. A friend said it was the green plug that I connect but when i did it just sent the electics crazy. I'm almost sure it's fuel/Air ratio thing . I put my hand half over the MAF intake and the engine runs good. So maybe the white wire coming off screwed up t...

I have not checked that yet. Maybe I should buy a scam tool and check or grab the book and figure it out. I would figure seeing as I've disconnected the white wire that the error will be the O2 sensor. If I get time today I will check but my wife is on my case as I only come home for the wekends and...

Same sh!t different day!
I changed the fuel pump for one of HF jobs. No change! The engine still runs rough below 3000rpm. When I had that problem before it was much worse until I changed the MAF. If I put my hand half over the MAf intake (once unbolted from the air box) the engine speeds up and runs better. If I pitch the ...

Yeah I did think long and hard about what class to run. We won CRS GT in 2005 . With my new job I have now there is no way I could ever do another Championship. So seeing as building the car for me is as much fun as driving it I decided to go for the 2.5/2.2 option. In either PGT or open I'm not goi...

Cone filter on a N/A?
I've read somewhere here that the cone filter does work so well with the MAF ? I was thinking of the best of both worlds. Keep the original air box and cut a round hole opposite the MAF into the airbox and attach a cone filter. This filter would access to cold air via a scope in the hood. Then I can...

Any comments on this problem?
Hi dudes, In the engine section I've posted about my new engine but figured certain folks would not read about my problem: One problem I had was the the MAF was bad so thanks to Blackbart I solved that problem. Anyway the engine passed it's smog with the CEL on which turned out to be the white heate...
