Hi Steve I thought and have read that the bigger the rear anti-roll bar/swaybar the less oversteer? The Turbo has a bigger rear sway bar and I sure they didn't add to induce oversteer. I remember in the UK when the Escort RS1600 came out it would swap ends on the limit and they cured that by adding ...

Road Test: I can either go to work via the freeway or take a canyon road??? So I took the canyon road(he he),a series of tight twists and turns up hill then down. Nobody was about so I gave it some! The present set up seems to work very well, taught but not to the point of jarring your bones. I have ...

I don't know if they are the same but I fitted Impreza/STI rear struts to my 90 Legacy by filing out the top bolt holes by 1/4" outwards(I can now use tapered or non-tapered).Front went on without problems.

Yes Jason I think that's the problem. The car was built up in Bend OR and they have great smooth roads,we on the other hand do not! Rallying in CA is very much like the Middle East events,I used wedge, weld and strengthen everything and not much broke??? You got me thinking about the wheel holder stra...

Struts always bend where I have the wedge.I've rallied since 1989 and that's where they go.even Bilstein used to wedge the MK2 Rally Escort struts the same. I have bent both front and rear on the Legacy at this point.I do a photo soon. Nice tip for spare wheel ,I'll check that out thanks Cheers Chris

I wasn't sure if you were joking as some die hard guys get picky if it's not the right colour. It was funny when I painted it,I did two Legacy's in the same day the same colour so everything ended up blue, even my shoes and the factory I painted it in!!! I do laugh every time I visit that factory as ...

OOHH1! forgot to say ,the reason the STI struts work for me is that you can undo the bottom nut at the base of the strut and remove the insert(after spring are removed) so then you can weld them.Plus you can replace the insert and as the insert is upside down, less flex. Normal strut,Big bang??? Chee...
