If you can move 7-8lbs of spring pressure with your fingers when the arm is pre-loaded the spring is either weakened or liable to be fooked.

There should be no movement in the wastegate arm/wastegate poppet, the spring in the bonnet of the Actuator should be holding the poppet fully shut when preloaded correctly - If there is the wastegate poppet is very likely to be slightly open therefore bypassing exhaust gasses away from turbine whee...

From all the subaru maps I have seen they tend to run very rich on heavy load (nominally ~10 AFR) to provide a safety barrier against DET.

The Lambda sensor is only used for idling and cruising to maintain Stoich. On wide open throttle the ECU reads from fuel map from load calculated from MAF sensor/Throttle position sensor etc.

Try reading boost at the manifold rather than before throttle body :wink:
