Re: Name my shop!
Thanks for the input Mike, I appreciate it! I know I'm "thinking big" but I've got an idea in my head for the logo, I just don't don't know how to make it come to be. I contacted an ex co-worker that works at a sign/design shop in Minneapolis and he's going to try to get something together...

I think I've decided on "Instalz by JJ". Anybody good at coming up with logos? I haven't a clue.

I've been meaning to try this ^. I don't have a lathe to machine off the teeth though. You can't get in there to do the welding with the teeth in the way! lol I might try grinding the teeth on a bench grinder, once I catch up on other projects.

What happens in between pit and finish? Usually crashes...Crash Audio! That's funny cuz my nickname used to be Crash back when I lived in Az! You have to push the limits in order to find them; now I know where they are! lol I'm seriously thinking about "The Installer". I've introduced mys...

Name my shop!
First, a little background. :) As some of you may know, this time last year I was living in a crudely converted school-bus, parked at my work. Technically homeless, lol. In February I was finally able to move into a shop that I had been waiting for a long time to become ready, complete with living q...

Re: Swapping 92 5spd tran & diff to 95 car?
I did the same thing on my Forester and ran into the same problems.
Use the axles that match the diff, they are the same in every other way.
I don't know if the studs are removable, I wouldn't think that they would be. I swapped the whole cover over on mine.

They have quite a bit of play, you just have tell them where to go.

I've never ran a lightweight pulley myself, but the general recommendation is to NOT run an under-drive pulley, just a straight lightweight pulley.

Re: Replacing rear quarter panel
Yep, easier to fix than replace. Of coarse, not so easy without proper tools. A stud welder and slide hammer would make short work of that. A little hammering, and finish it off with some bondo.

Re: 2nd Gen Legacy Exhaust
If you swap the entire exhaust system you will probably need to shorten it somewhere in the middle as I believe the 2nd gens are longer. Hopefully someone will chime in and confirm that. The main thing I'd be concerned about is single port vs. dual port. I'm not sure when they started single port, b...

No go there, N/A header won't clear turbo crossmember. Otherwise, good idea!

I've lost all those ball bearings once. I was off-roading at the time, lol. Had to tow it 13 miles back home, that sucked! The wobbly crank pulley is common. There are several threads on it. Basically, I wouldn't worry about your crankshaft other than the keyway. You just had it apart, did you inspe...

Re: what color should i do my stock rims?
I don't think the stock rims would look very good painted like that. This coming from a guy who currently has lime green 17's on one side and bright orange on the other side . Stock rims I'd stay with dark colors, black, charcoal, etc.

Any car audio store should either have plastic spacers or MDF rings that they cut out. If you have a jig-saw and some particle board or plywood it's pretty easy to make
