Re: 1993 Touring Wagon 5mt swapped, mods, no rust $3500

I'd be all over this if it were in April/May of 2011. It's not even a money thing, just time. She's a beauty and pretty much all I wanted my wagon to be so if you wanna keep her a little longer... (hint hint)

Re: Getting into welding

Yeah I know that for instance Weber Grills at HD or Lowes carry a different model number from those sold at specialty grill stores and supposedly vary greatly in quality. I'm leaning towards purchasing the used Millermatic 140 nearby. It's something like $250 - $300 cheaper than new, comes with runn...

Re: Getting into welding

Home Depot actually has pretty good deals on Lincoln welders. Do yourself a favor and spend a couple bucks on a dedicated 220v outlet in your garage. You'll outgrow a 110v welder in no time. Thanks, I'll check Home Depot out. As for the electrical service, I'm converting a large storage shed into t...

Re: Getting into welding

I can probably spend up to $600 on a welder. I saw a used Miller Millermatic 14000 for $600 locally on Craigslist with stand and bottle, otherwise I was thinking of a Hobart Handler 140 for about $480 new, which from my understanding is the same as the Miller but only has four voltage settings and n...

Getting into welding

Hey ya'll, long time I know that back in the day there were quite a few guys on here who were either welders by trade or had experience in it. Recently I've been working on a few projects for myself and friends (my Civic, a buddy's 914, and a baja prerunner) and I keep coming up on situations where ...

try a non-sequential turbo kit made by CTS in Japan, or a Sequential controller made by Zerosports, the Zerosports kit allows you to control when the switchover occurs I found that info over at www.legacygt.com our site here mostly caters to the 1989-1994 USDM Legacy (single) turbo best of luck, and...

Doesn't the orange STi drift car use a Skyline rear end? R32 Skyline used a R200 diff maybe stronger gears Steve, they'd definitely be one off custom as I can't seem to find anything for the R160 with a quick search, I found that NISMO made race ring and pinions for R180 and maybe R200? still thoug...

I can't answer that question Steve, but I think the 240/260/280z owners go for R200 and even R230 rears.

R230 = 230mm or 9.05” in diameter... wow

Damn, that was one hell of an impact. Looks like you got rear-ended by a truck. that's what I was thinking :shock: Glad things are ok with everyone man, especially your boy. That stuff is scary when you're young. Goes to show how Subarus are such safe vehicles, I doubt you'd have been that lucky in...

Phil, I ended up paying 22k with the accessories and a warranty extension for 7 years or 100k miles. I may end up painting the mud guards to match, at least I can remove them easily. A turn-key and drive car that gets 30 to 35 on the highway would be fantastic. I got about 38, highway cruise, on the...
