(I'm running Falken Ziex 512s in 205/50-16, FWIW). Those are what I've been pining for, too. How do they run for you? No BS, do you like 'em? Any complaints? How are they in the wet? I like them. :) I don't push the Legacy quite as hard as the 2.5RS, but these tires grip quite well when I do push i...

As stated above Impreza wheels fit fine (in fact, I've got 16x7 Impreza 2.5RS wheels on my 91SS). If you want to stay closer to the stock rolling diameter (for a more correct speedo/odo), you might want to opt for 205/50-16 tires instead of the Imprezas' 205/55-16, though (I'm running Falken Ziex 51...

Also, the Haynes manual doesn't show how to adjust a '91 Legacy's headlights. It only shows for '92 on. It's pretty easy to figure out, but still...... Yeah, I've got the Haynes manual as well (came with the car) but only recently picked up the FSM set from the dealer. Sad thing is the Haynes bette...

Sandpaper, clear coat, and Meguiar's clear plastic cleaner/polish purchased. Headlights removed and ready for surgery! :D (The car looks kinda funny with no grill or headlights... ) (NOTE: To anyone who uses the Subaru service manual for grill removal...there are SEVEN clips on the '91 turbo g...

The best way might be to just email Deadbolt Enterprises and find out. Jerry (the owner) has owned multiple Legacy Turbos (and he and Dale installed the 16G in my '91SS while it was in Dale's shop (i.e. Boxer4Racing)), so he should definitely know what will fit (or what can be modified to fit, if it...

Here is an off topic and possibly dumb question; If you could get it to fit, could you hook up two tmic in series, basically one next to other? I actually thought about that when I was looking at the 300ZX intercoolers. To be honest, while it should work, it would be more efficient (especiall...

I recently replaced the SPEC Stage II Kevlar clutch in my 2.5RS with an Exedy organic. The thing was wearing like iron, but would overheat WAY too easily and once it overheats it is useless until it cools down (about 30min - 1hr and it's like new again). Having a co-driver at autocrosses pretty much...

I did some quick test fitting today (and took some more measurements). First, the IC fits great in the engine bay, and I'm even more convinced that this IC will work very well in the alotted space. The IC inlet is mere inches from the compressor outlet, and needs only about a 60-degree elbow (of dif...

you must be a really good driver then. I'd consider myself a pretty good driver, but one *big* advantage I have is that we have pretty small lots locally, so the courses are relatively tight which works in my car's favor. With the low end grunt of the 2.5RS (which lets me easily pull out of tight t...

need some daytime pics of the car. im kinda feeling the paint you got there. The only other pics I have of the car thus far are the ones I took when I first got the car (in which it still has the stock wheels, but otherwise looks pretty much the same). Here is the post with those pics: http://bbs.l...

You know why it's so small? Because Audi uses two of them placed in the front fenderwells. My uncle's 2.7T is setup this way....I assume the S4 is the same. Yeah, I know (actually I even mentioned it in the next to last paragraph of my initial post ;) ). I was also considering the 300ZX TT intercoo...

I hacked that plastic piece when i first started running the 16G. You shouldn't have any problem making it work. That reminds me...I forgot to mention that I am running a TD05H-16G on this car (with the compressor outlet rotated to match the stock orientation), so keep that in mind when I mention f...

Well, it's here and holy crap is it small (at least compared to the WRX TMIC I have in the shed outside anyway). It looks like a great fit for the engine bay, though, and I'm even more certain after physically sitting it in the engine bay that I shouldn't have to relocate anything (most notabl...

Audi S4 Intercooler
Well, since I haven't seen mention in these forums of an Audi S4 intercooler yet (though I've heard mention of other Audi/VW ICs), I thought I'd note that the item below is currently out for delivery via FedEx and will be finding its way under the hood of my 91 SS: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/...

Yeah, the ECU biases the oxygen sensor signal to about 0.3 volts, so with an open circuit that's what it sees, at least with Hitachi ECUs. But usually it's the heater that goes before the sensor itself, so if you were testing without the engine being driven warm, it's possible that the sensor is st...

I had this same setup on my 2.5RS (both front and rear), and they worked very well, but one of the rears broke (I assume from binding) and so I have switched to the Perrin rears now (which have spherical bearings which supposedly prevent binding). I'm actually surprised they still have that style of...
