Dang man...what are you puttin' down? 400? I'm not gonna have near that btw...I'll prolly set it @ 10 psi to be really safe (12-14 on very rare occasion). You said you used up most of your extra trannies...have any left you are looking to sell? No idea... I just street tuned it. I have another lega...

Does where you inject the meth make a huge differance (specifically for cooling)? Obviously if it's to close to the throttle body it may not evaporate, but I was thinking about running a small frontmount (my power goals aren't huge) and injecting either just prior to the FMIC or directly into the F...

Death by torque... I haven't launched on this tranny or shifted hard yet. I've only done some tuning pulls on it and normal street driving. I gave my boost controller an extra turn or two and rolled the throttle on to do a tuning pull. As I hit full boost the trans just wasn't there anymore LOL. No ...

IAC wiring (at valve, not at ECU) - Legacy SS
It's a 3 wire connector. Based on how the valve works it's probably:
Push+
Pull+
Ground-
Anyone know which wire is which at the unit itself (not at the ECU)?

No, but I did hit the rev limiter just as I flat shifted a few times. I haven't hooked my tach up yet and I didn't expect the car to pull so well up top from everyone bitching about how awful the stock heads are. It just keeps pulling and I didn't realize I was getting up that high when I had the li...

Nope. Stock Impreza RS tranny (with matching RS 4.11 LSD rear) with an ACT clutch. I have a WRX tranny with RA gears in the works and I have a WRX rear end sitting here. That's going in with another ACT clutch with a 6 puck disk. I have the autronic set up so I barely tap the clutch pedal (using exi...

Playing with the...daily driver. Now with standalone ECU.
Well the time came for the stock ECU to go. I know I could go further with it but I tune cars for a living so it was getting a bit silly and I had to have the total control of a standalone. So...I wired an Autronic SM4 universal standalone in with some 750cc STi injectors and old NA rails. I'm runni...

Cheap hoses are flimsy and they can't handle heat, pressure, and oil vapor as well as a good hose. That's about it. The ones I sell aren't a brand name. They're fantastic and they look like this: http://www.innovativetuning.com/catalog/images/BlackReducer.jpg Time for a new thread. I put a standalon...

I take cheap hoses off at least 2 cars a week because it has cracked/burst under heat/pressure and from oil vapor/blowby eating it. There's absolutely no reason not to buy good hose the first time. Measure twice, cut once, enjoy! Worm gear clamps not only don't clamp as well as t-bolts, they chew up...

Heh ok I wasn't sure. Yes good couplers and clamps are a must. Vacuum and charge pipe leaks cause the majority of the problems I see with cars that come here for tuning. T bolts weren't enough on mine with the stock plastic charge pipe and we have to use a tie down to keep it from blowing both ends ...

So you turbo'd the car...and you're going to cheap on a silicone sleeve? c'mon dude, I know it's expensive, but seriously. Well it comes factory turbo, but yes I upgraded the turbo and I did use very high quality hose. The problem is the sucking force you get when you're sucking a large volume of a...

I tried to get one but couldn't find the size. This morning I finally had a little time to mess with it. We just slash cut a pipe and inserted it in the hose so as much as possible of the hose is reinforced and now it doesn't budge. I tuned it up to 21 psi on the Green a little while ago and finally...

Might need more than a Green to get that much power... Considering the GSX made less power, I think your in for low 11's. Wasn't the GSX heavier than the Legacy? We'll see...I've broken 400 on a stock wrx longblock on pump/meth, but I know it will be harder on the ej22t. Then again I'm injecting tw...
