Do a search for leaky sunroofs...it's the gunk under the rails and not something that removing the headliner would fix...unless you plan on removing the entire sunroof unit itself.

Heated seats? I sure could use some of those. The 91 also has a Bosch 4-channel ABS instead of the 3-channel one in the later models. The rear suspension is also a bit different, but it's updateable. I don't think Airbags were standard either... Mechanically speaking, there's nothing that really sep...

I'm getting the exact same hesitation as IggDawg is describing, and it started just a few months ago. Up till that point, the car pulled like CRAZY up to 6700, even when the temps outside were ~100F and the car was warmed up. This is with NO cats and an intercooler. Now the temps are ~20F, and the c...

I'll have to look and make sure which wire i actually cut in order to set the ECU to "Manual" mode instead of Auto. I haven't ever hooked up the Neutral switch, Reverse lights or Cruise. Lex has done this, but he's on a VERY long vacation around the globe while his car sits in Quebec somew...

Any seat for the Impreza/WRX will fit in the Legacy. I've got seats from a 01 RS coupe in mine, and while they're a lot better than the stock ones, they're nowhere near "race" seats. The WRX are much better, but they're also heavy. If you want a race seat, look at Sparco, Momo and Corbeau....

Hmm, then you might actually benefit from a larger 3", but in talking to a few people who regularly install exhausts, 3" is very tricky to do right under our cars. If you can find any info on exhaust sizes for that turbo, say from a DSM or whatever, you might be able to judge whether or no...

For the stock turbo, 2.5" is just fine.

We've been all over this "big pipe, low torque" thing a billion times. Fact is, with an 8.0:1 compression ratio, any time you're not in boost you're going to have the torque of a Metro.

I only autocrossed once or twice with the MBC, but keeping in boost while in the turns is kinda tricky, and i never did master it, though i can offer you one simple bit of advice that will make you faster, if you actually use it: Left Foot Braking. If your brakes are good enough, you can actually mo...

The crossmember on my turbo was partially from an impreza. Two of the three peices came from a wrecked one in a junkyard, the other was from a Legacy. The master cylinder is almost universal on all hydraulic clutches, to the best of my knowledge. There are probably some variances, but everything sho...

Sandblash and Powdercoat is a very nice solution. We did this with the stock wheels on our 84 GSL-SE RX-7 and it worked our really nice.

Expect to pay $20-50 per wheel though, it is a bit expensive but they look fantastic.

The engine is the same.

email or call them if you want to know if it does indeed fit. If you order it, and it doesn't fit, you'll be a lot worse off than the price of a phone call.

All-Motor is super nice, and i have more fun driving a 130hp RX-7 on the auto-x course than an AWD turbo car. I bet it's faster too, even stock. That said, Cobb builds heads and short blocks for very high-revving and powerful all-motor applications. This page has info on their Stage 2 short block, w...

I'd bought the kartboy shifter, then had him send me another one because i thought i got the wrong one. Turns out that the older assemblies don't work with any short shifters made for the RS/WRX. It's indeed funny that they'd tell you to buy Pontiac, because GM now owns a reasonable portion of Subaru. All US Legacies are built in the US, in Indiana's SIA plant. The "cool" ones built in the Yajima plant go to everyone but North America. US Imprezas and Foresters are still shipped ov...

Almost no Turbo Legacies have LSDs, the 91s have the highest ratio because, quite frankly, they're the best models the US got.

I'm just glad to have working AWD and snow tires this year, as opposed to a horribly slipping 4EAT and non-working AWD on Kumho Ecsta 712s.

The new Subarus are going to start using an IHI Twin-Scroll turbo, like the EVO and the old FC RX-7. There is no replacement for displacement when you want torque, and a %25 increase in dis...

The transmission has absolutely nothing to do with the rear differential past the gear ratio. It has no way of knowing whether there's an LSD in the back or not.

Very rich, big injectors...that's why we can run 13PSI non-intercooled and not worry about detonation from lack of fuel.

Favorite RX-7 owner advice: You can run rich all the time, but you can only run lean once.

If you haven't checked already, the original knock sensors on many of these cars are faulty and should be replaced. I'll get around to it, because i'm almost certain that my hesitation is because of it.
