I searched for them on a few gauge sites at least a year and a half ago, i think i found one on autometer, but i can't remember for sure. I'd think that they'd still be available from Japanese and Australian outlets.

$80? Not sure if you're going to be able to find one of the nice free-flow ones for that price, but you should probably check out the Magnaflow and Dynomax lines, as i've heard both of them in their 3" size and i really like them a lot. Keeping the stock 2 outlet is probably going to cost a lot...

Any exhaust shop should be able to remove your stock DP, install the HKS one and weld on a proper sized flange to the stock midsection, if needed. It might take a little work, but it will work, though going 3" -> 2.25" (or whatever stock midsection is) might not be the best idea.

In fact, most Legacies outside of the US have more stuff on from the factory. Your best bet for getting anything is to try and find some place in Japan or Australia that would sell you the stock side skirts and bumpers.

If you're not getting any fuel, i'd start with the filter and them the pump. 141k miles is quite a few, and it could probably use replacement anyways. I don't recall anyone else saying that their pump just up and gave up, but i'm certain that it's happened.

It's just the mount, that's it.

I brought mine through customs myself :D, as i bought them at STI Tokyo.

Not using them presently, as my TEIN Pillow-ball and camber adjustable mouts are much better. The STIs are going with the DMS when they get rebuilt.

One way to get a large heat exchanger...

I had considered this before, but a friend just brought it back to my attention. This only applies to 5MT owners. I swapped my 4EAT transmission out early this year, which removed a lot of weight from the front end of the car, and let me remove the transmission filter and hoses. There is, however, o...

Cobb Tuning/Modern Garage Grand Opening

Happened this Saturday, was really cool and i won a Blitz Dual Turbo Timer in the Raffle. The TeamSMR USTCC WRX was there, as well as Gary Sheehan and Joel Gat. Cobb had a walkthrough of their facilities and a Q&A on the 4W Dyno. We had a really good local turnout as well as some guys from Idaho...

Avatars and Images in signatures

We've discussed this, and while it's kind of fun to have pictures and avatars, for the sake of the bandwidth on the server and the percentage of people that use dialup accounts, Avatars will remain disabled and i'm going to ask that you refrain from linking images into your signatures. I've already ...

If you want the best compromise for a street car, do AWIC. A top mount is really simple and works better than nothing. Front mount is terribly difficult to make fit well on a car that doesn't really have room in the stock bumper. Air/Water puts a smaller heat exchanger up front, small water lines an...

There's supposed to be a washer that goes from the stock setup to the new setup. It's not a flat washer, but is tapered in towards the top and i think it only makes contact with the center part of the bearing so that when you put the nut on, the pressure is on the inside. http://www.xmission.com/~da...

Homeslice: the WRX shifter is just as long as ours, that's why you see so many of them on eBay and i-club is because they're getting the STI setups.

It kinda sounds like you might have a bad head gasket which is letting combustion gas into the coolant. This would explain the bubbling, if it's constant and doesn't seem like it's boiling.

Do you smell anything unusual in the exhaust? Is there any smoke?

Having had an entire system installed myself, i can comment on not only how well any upgraded system works, but how well it fits. They don't fit very well because they're really quite huge. A guy posted an install writeup with pics on i-club with details about what had to be done just to get it to fit in, and it wasn't at all simple. IIRC, removal of the A/C was mandatory, as the piping that runs parallel to the firewall was i...

DSM guys also swear by BG, and the tranny fluid idea is also pretty commonly accepted way to clean gearboxes or engine internals.

Mine does the same, but only when it's warmed up. I'm pretty sure that it's the syncros, but might have something to do with the gear oil as well.

2000+ uses a MAP sensor that's nearly on top of the throttle body, and uses some different logic and methods to get airflow readings. RS-T owners had to trick this, or the ECU, into letting them run more than 3-5PSI, as it got confused somehow. It's not at all compatible with our ECUs, but might be ...
