yeah unfortunately I couldn't find room for it in front--will put a fan on it and hope that efficiency isn't too horrible for the testing phase. Later I think I will try moving it to the snorkus area at an angle or use two smaller radiators in front of the main radiator. It will be interesting to se...

Greg is right actually Lexus SC300. Man point for you. I finally have some updates to the project! In fact, it started for the first time today. Idles at 1600rpm so there is a lot of tuning to do next weekend. My IAC strategy was to use an early 80s bosch auxiliary idle controller from an audi. basi...

oh IIRC: -the injectors were about $175 -rails with regulator about $50 -compression fittings about $10 -tubing: coated mild steel is really cheap at autozone $2.50 for 6' SS tubing was way more $15 for 5' I used half and half because I didn't know how much to order of the SS. We'll see how they com...

been a while I had not really noticed the orientation of the stock sti injectors in an STi....so they're oriented to the side like that? yes--unless I got the wrong parts. New turbo arrived from Japan. VF38 from a JDM leg GT, twin scroll, titanium shaft and impeller. It's pretty sweet, will put it o...

Got a bit done this weekend. Well I learn something new every day. I guess the factory would use better connectors if there were a risk of explosion. Good call 206er. Yes I machined off the old teeth and will press fit the 36-1 wheel. It's really the only hurdle to this kind of project, but you could have something like this cu...

Finally got this gauge panel finished. That was a lot of work actually. There is a boost gauge on the left. In the middle, a pyrometer circa 1980s that I got from grandpa. An air fuel ratio meter for LC1 wb on the right http://lh6.ggpht.com/__U7YvW8FDb8/SjRVuUY8DTI/AAAAAAAAACE/iXH23j_V_e0/s800/06060...

Impregacy ej22t megasquirt build

This build journal will document the installation of a megasquirt II stand alone engine management computer on an ej22t. This should be of interest to anyone on a budget, but has been scratching their head on how to extract a lot of power out of an engine without expensive computers or some shaky me...

I always ran 87 in my ej22t. Just with wastegate boost... put 40,000 miles on it that way. I think it's the way to go if you aren't racing, and are careful with the rpms. I doubt the knock sensor was throwing voltage the whole time because I got pretty good mileage >30mpg, so I'm thinking the advanc...

Hey, I'm glad you are back. You really helped me with the ej22t swap--that self shut-off diode trick--dang.

I just came back recently as well. Will be megasquirting that same engine.

What have you been up to?

In all fairness you need 4 widebands to fully use this feature too and most people aren't willing to buy 4, but for the professional it is an issue. Or have 4 bosses and move it around. I didn't know there were people on here that started down the MS path and then turned away. We'll have to see how...

Glad I finally found this thread. Where did that lunes guy go? I was excited to see another MI person who is trying to MS2 an ej22t. I have recently built the computer and will be running Ford EDIS4, which is the way to go, I think, if you know someone with a mill or CAD machine for sending out to p...

you're saying that a legacy turbo clutch is a pull style clutch and a 1993 impreza 1.8 AWD transmission cannot use a pull style clutch? i thought push style refered to the hydro clutched WRX, for example. I was under the distinct impression that this my old 93 subaru still has the pull style set up....

Legacy Turbo Clutch into an 1.8l Impreza Tranny?

So the impreza has a ej22t, but when i did the swap i kept the 1.8L impreza transmission, flywheel, pressure plate, and disc. I'm thinking the best thing to do would be to swtich to a Legacy Turbo clutch. Does anybody know if a turbo disc would fit the 1.8 flywheel? I know they are both pull type cl...

i could use the air box and intake pieces leading up to the turbo, with clamps if possible. let me know if that's too bulky. If not, how much shipped to 48866? I'm also looking for a good working IAC valve, and maybe a spare MAF sensor.
