If you still have the TOP engine cover, it'll say TURBO on it. If the intake plumbing from your airbox doesn't go DIRECTLY from the airbox to the throttle box, it's a turbo model. If it DOES go directly from airbox to throttle body, it's a non-turbo model.

yups, I'm sticking to my EJ22 crank. I like the smoothness. Looking at rods made for the USDM STi 2.5L. They share the same rod length, there for I can put them in with forged pistons from CP for my 2.2L and be all set to go. I was like....if I'm not shooting for more, should I just pick up some OEM...

EVO3-16G-8cm^2, headerback, turbo inlet, eBay TMIC, Wlbro FP, uncapped and rescaled stock WRX injectors. The WRX heads are ported to mimic the JDM big ports. SO THIS MEANs, I can go buy rods ...

So then we'll push towards the limits when I get it tuned then. I'm using a Cobb AP2. Getting it Tuned in 2 weeks by Jorge from P&L.

I kind of worry a little that the rods may go...

ouch, I TRIED the '06 WRX clutch setup. It SLIPPED as well with my '00 OBS tranny mated up to it. It just DIDN'T work.... I swapped it back out and rounded off 3 of the 6 pucks on the ACT disc and put my Exedy stg1 pressureplate and my stock flywheel on. I NOW have an ACT heavy duty pressureplate on...

turboback will give you cat inefficiency code
ont '06+ USDM WRXs, there will be boost creep with turboback exhausts. THE CEL does come on if you reach over the fuel cut. I've seen it happen in an '02 WRX when we were cranking up the boost with a MBC.

you can get good power out of the TD04L for daily driving. I did this swap into my Impreza and had full headerback exhaust, WRX TD04L/TMIC, TXS FCD, TXS MBC, boosting avg 15psi and at 15psi I made 178whp 244wtrq on a mustang dyno. The torque drops off after its peak at 3600rpms. HP holds above 150wh...

I have teh TXS FCD in my 22T swap. It allowed me to RAISE the fuel cut and allow fuel cut to happen if boost was to creep higher than where set. Really NICE piece of hardware and really wasy to install and set with another handy person to turn the adjusters while you brake boost. lolz

Running WRX fuel pump and TD04L w/ TMIC. boosting 15psi on a Mustang Dyno net me numbers 178whp, 244ft lbs of torque. On nights doin...

injectors needed, ya? because I'm just running a simple TD04L w/ TMIC, but keeping boost at 14psi just to be safe because I don't want to go lean. On cools night it creeps to 17psi in middle 4th, and when going into 5th. But boost drops back down when the RPM goes up to 5000rpm. It's just when I shi...

My boost is set at 14psi....at night it does creep to 17psi at times...but holds about 15psi. daytime it is running 14psi in 4th gear. nice to have a safety margen. I have Perrin's atmospheric BOV. That one you have there is the one that you can vent to atmosphere and also recirculate. I WAS going to get that one but it wouldn't clear the cable lines and throttle body so I opted for the atmosphere one.
