I now know that spark isnt the problem. I replaced everything but the starter(ignition wise). It has to do with the timing. It must. I think I am 180 deg off or something. Off enough that the sensors will not adjust for it. The REALLY wierd thing is that no codes are popping up at all. None. My wors...

Well, It wasnt the cam angle sensors... and now my tech has decided to give up. This doesnt help my situation much. I am gonna have to take the whole car to the guy that built the engine.

I'm this close to freakin' out dammit.

It WILL take a good bit of modification to fit the 3800SC into the Grand Am. If he wants a blower that bad for cheap, a my99 2 door GTP supercharged can be had for around $6500. With a smaller pulley(2.75"), free flowing exhaust, CAI, and bigger fuel pump he could have it over 315HP easy. GP's ...

Well, I think we've found the problem. But I'm not gonna say for sure that it will be done (knock on wood). We have some cam angle sensors on the way from Subaru. Putting them in today.

Fingers crossed.

Dealership jobs kick ass. My car has been out of commission since late October and I have yet to be without a car. Plus it pays a lot. I live at home, work 8-430 and then hit up night school. I earn about 26K a year and only pay car/health insurance that totals out at 146.50 a month. leaving the oth...

Nope. None at all. Its turning, and will turn all day... but no startup. I have replaced the Coilpack with another diamond, and am now replacing the cam sensors (@ $220 a piece). Yikes. I am becoming increasingly frustrated. Oh, and the throttle thing. Of course Ive opened the throttle PLATE, making...

Well, I know that you should steer clear of the Twin Turbo JDM. That conversion is more frustration than fruition. The entire setup revolves around the car being RHD. NOT AN EASY SWAP. Whats more commonly seen in 95+ US Legacys is the USDM WRX swap. I suggest professional installation with that one ...

1: Gas. Put in a half tank at the shop. 93 octane w/ booster. There was 1/8th tank when the rebuild started, so we had to "liven" that up. 2: Those damn autolite plugs were sparkin a dim yellow, so I had them replaced with NGK V Powers and Wires. I guess the next step is to either replace ...

Stroker Woes. HELP!

All new seals, bearings, gaskets, a few new sensors, rebuilt thermostat, oil pump... whole shbang. We have the engine (EJ22NA) installed now and the...

Of course try to get it done the most cost effectively, but yes I would do 300 ready to be installed.

Then I suppose there is the question of material. CF or fiberglass. I would pay for either.

Sounds like a spun rod bearing to me. Probably because I spun one in October. I went ahead and pulled my engine for a complete rebuild after that. Given enough time (without fixing it) you will throw a rod, rendering your engine useless except for parts  . I wish I had better news for you. But...

I myself, being a car dealer, know that over a matter of a few hundred dollars the customer will win. At the same time, you must realize that he WILL NOT sell it if he cant break even or better on it. It just wont happen. Some people think that if a car sits long enough, they can get it for less tha...
