Well, It seems that this has been replaced once before I got the car back in '99. The washer is missing alltogether. Either way, I have it at my buddies' shop and thier working it out. I'll relay the info... ...and we didnt use a tow-truck either... just a strap, the soobs tow bar, and my Dad's Taho...

No. No electrical work at all.

Return line has fuel going back to the tank.

As for the plugs, the machine shop put them in so I'll check them tomorrow for the correct gap.

But yes, I am having trouble starting it. The trouble is... IT WONT. It will turn over, over and over, but that it. I dont get it. Could there be another reason? Timing? Plug Gap? Fuel pressure regulator? What could it be?

vrg3 wrote:Yeah, it's the knock sensor.

Are you having trouble starting the engine? A missing or damaged knock sensor wouldn't cause failure to start.

Did you do any electrical work? Or did you just rebuild the engine? How did you verify that you're getting spark?
A wrench and a plug wire, thats how :D

Finally all back together; but....

OK, here goes: I rebuilt my EJ22 over the past few months and I finally have her back in the superbaru. I have everything connected except for one sensor. I looks like a black hockey puck the size of a quarter. It has a hole through the center for the bolt that attaches it to something. There is one...

Turbo isnt necessary. As you pointed out, Its not the only way to do forced induction! :D You could say this thread is an exercise in "Engine Swap Theory 101" I keep hearing about the supercharger for the SVX, and even of that setup (minus the 6'er) in Colorado. Somebody on this board if I...

Thats the Idea. 94 Wagon, Standard Comp, and 6 psi. The question is if it will all bolt up. Particularly the tranny to the 3.3?

Edit: ....and some Duals! :D

The CA18 is quite the motor itself. The redline is quite a bit higher than a SR20 if I remember correctly. The problem is the lack of aftermarket here in the states for the 1.8

I say 26 the mofo

About the RB26DETT, I does fit with relative ease when compared to a 02+ ej20 into a BC. When I was at Virginia Tech, the car club president had a primered "180 ZX" (JDM) with the RB26. He said it took him 3 days to do in his shop. Put down some SERIOUS #'s. Sounded oh so nice too.

I agree about the weight. The rotas are much lighter, but that doesnt make those look any less awesome. Speaking of seats, I just picked up a set of Celica GTS seats with blue trim for the superbaru. Looks like its gonna be a great fit, and oh so comfortable. $150 for both seats and the rails in nea...

It was one of the first things I did to the car when I got it 4 years ago. Iridium is on the list, but I may even go with the ZEX plugs if I do the Nitrous. Its all up in the air, but for right now the Platinums work just fine.
