Boost Controller install... not sure if it's a problem yet

hard to test while at work... okay like the title says, finally got around to hooking the dual stage boost controller up yesterday, with the wiring to the cabin done as well for the switch. gauge was reading -15 on the vaccuum at idle and 8+ psi when driving on stock controller. gauge now reads -15 ...

Laurel, i just installed my turboxs dsbc (used) if you can wait a day or i'll give you a better idea of it's performance.

I'm still trying to work out if it's broken or if i did something wrong.

I'll start another thread with my problem.

Nico, if you could do a reverse scoop oriented towards the front of the car (ie. after the rad, but before the engine) that might vent some of the heat... that makes sense to me, but practical application wise i don't know. One of my favorite "looking" hoods is the Erebuni one pictured for...

Lol, I meant i did pay 5000cdn=$4100usd with no trade-in. As for multiple cars, i was just getting at babying one and abusing the other, and how that would be pretty tough, since you know what it takes part wise and how much it can "take" abuse wise. blah, your happy with the car and that'...

I just picked mine up about 20 days ago, and i absolutely love it. it is mint, had 93000kms on it and cost me $5000cdn so what's that like 55000miles and $3500usd? I lucked out and i know it, it would have cost me the same to fix the 330,000km '96 wagon. So i was just going to say, i'm in the same b...

Lol, considering most of my mod experience is nuts bolts and screws, it was simple, but i feel pretty proud of myself... and yes, it was disgustingly dirty. ended up getting some 3/8" hose, a brass connector and some clamps... thing is better then new! the part that had me most concerned was th...

yep, that's what i thought... it looks like it's right at the edge of the nipple inside the hose where it's starting to come open on. Funny, i was going to go to get the tranny and diff fluids changed. That would have been a waste if i had actually put in the Royal Purple as i had been contemplating...

Help, not sure what the hell is leaking

Seems i made a mistake in my early check of the leak. It's not coming from the hose that is clearly the A/C line. It's actually coming from the one directly below it. Instead of coming out of the first smaller rad and clearly going into the condensor, it appears to be coming from the main rad and go...

Engine Shampoo?

Had a little bit of a panic yesterday after my car started smoking. After much worry, it looks like it's an A/C leak. It's a tiny litte spot, but because the system is pressurized it's spraying this fine mist inside half the engine bay. so 2 quick questions: 1. if the A/C is off, why is it still spr...

Goal wise i think until i have a reliable family econobox or a new legacy turbo wagon, I'm only shooting for 14-15psi. I may have a WRX HKS catback lined up pretty cheap, that'll have to be lengthened. Once i get the approval from my financial advisor (and fun spoiler) I plan to convert this into a ...

Turboback options

stock vf11 turbo, just looking for options after it. I've seen one guy selling a dual dump helix from a wrx and wondering if it fit, or should i be looking at something particular for a '93? I mean is there a complete solution for turboback for our cars with little or no modification to fit? I've be...

i wouldn't doubt it, that's what they're designed for. With the ceramic coating heat won't be much of an issue to the engine bay, and should help spool faster then non-coated.

Plus, borla headers sound much throatier then the stock.

congrats... let me know how it works out.

Pete, do you have a link to the instructions for this? or did you just get the gist of it from reading the MANY posts on the subject? I'm planning on trying to do this in the coming month, and would like to have a plan of attack and a list of parts needed. The less time it takes, the less the wife k...

Wow, that was quick... took me about 20minutes. So you don't have fog lights and how far up did you cut the pipe? I left mine stock for now in case i wanted to go back. Without the white plastic around it... you can see right into the intake pipe from the fog light hole. I'm thinking i pick up a set...

well previous owner passed 2 e-tests with it like this. Mind you i suspect we just have much easier emmisions up here. Okay how about this... I'm new to the world of turbo (been in an NA Legacy for about 5years) so bare with some questions that people may have heard already or are just naive in general. 1. In my club in Toronto, a couple of the guys mentioned that the WRX headers match up. Is that the case for the 2...

There are many manufacturers for you brand of engine, of course they all elude me right now...I'll see if i can post you some info. Only Borla and Brullen come to mind, though there are at least 2 or 3 more, that are cheaper then the "boxed" solutions. 2.5 engines DOHC and SOHC both have t...
