doesn't seem like a big upgrade.
i mean they're free.

But do you think it's worth the trouble of doing, or just find the 92-94 NA fuel rails and pickup a set of larger injectors?

'93 Legacy SS w/5spd conv

Bought the car back in the summer of '05. I had already owned a '96 Legacy 2.5L DOHC wagon for 4.5 years and loved the AWD platform and the significant step up in power it had over my previous car ('91 Corolla). Unfortunately, it was a real let down in terms of the problems i encountered with it (no...

injector help please.

Sorry don't know if this is in the right forum or not, figured it was worth a shot since they mount in the intake manifold. Did a search... OMG there are 20+ pages of threads with the word injectors! lol gone through the first 2 pages, and haven't really found what i'm looking for, so while i contin...

i'm running 18 x 48 offset i did rub on wrx struts and springs and even a little on the kyb's but only at the back with rear passengers... never had a problem up front. i was so worried about the rust, that if i rolled it, i'd end up loosing my arches! I ended up cutting the inner lip off the wheel ...

catless downpipe? then you'll want to squeeze in an intercooler... sound will definitely jump up a notch or two... but completely in a good way :) i look at it as... if the wife had something important to say, she should stop saying it under her breath because if she's not almost shouting at me, i c...

Thanks for the reply Gary...

my big concern is the rears, as i have 18x7.5 rims, that don't tuck up inside the wheel well... guess i'll have to look at rolling the fenders... was hoping to avoid that if possible.

okay, i had some time for a little research. eibach doesn't have a set for legacy, just 2.5RS Tein and Whitelines websites aren't responding H & R has a set, that drops it 1.2" in front and 1" in rear, i'd be afraid of rubbing or bottoming out! as it stands now the rear is just shy of ...

Spring suggestions for minimal drop but stiffer rate

I've gone through the compendium (which is awesome guys) i used to run a set of wrx sedan springs and struts, but found after 2 years, and a lot of mileage, the rear was shot, which in turn was causing a lot of rubbing on the 18's whenever i had rear passengers decided to use KYB GR-2's, with the st...

Engine heat? car is really hot, is it normal?

not sure where to post this... if i push the car like i usually do, after a 1hr drive, i find the hood and front fenders uncomfortably hot to the touch. (this is with AC off, couldn't tell you if it's any different with it on) if i pop the hood and grab the hood stand, i can only hold it for a momen...

interesting thread. always wanted a vr-4 and stealth TT's know they're heavy bastards, but they look sleek (i prefer the stealth TT) You can't go wrong with the truck you've picked up. And as long as you know you'll never get the kind of $$$ you've poured into the legacy, then why bother to sell it?...

In Nico's defence, his car does run... and it is disgustingly fast. He helped me build up my car (turbo and intercooler install), and I have had no problems with the work we did. When time comes for the injectors and tune, he'll be helping me again, and i will be going to the same tuner he uses, bec...

hehehe, sorry Nico, didn't see this post. no beef. Very good guy, i'd consider him a close friend. While yes, his typing can be very hard to read, and yes, he does talk smack once in a while :) , i take his knowledge pretty seriously. I'll pester him to put up a dyno sheet this summer after the autr...

stupid problem, a/c related, not sure how to troubleshoot

between a transmission filter and flush on friday, and replacing the condensor and recharging the a/c on saturday the car wasn't really driven until Sunday. i have had the following happen 3 times in 2 days when the a/c is running, distance seemingly irrelevant, the engine just cuts out. CEL comes o...

sucks... as for the exhaust question, as far as i know, any wrx exhaust setup should work, the only question will be clearance if you're that low (ie equal length header design)

you could probably hit up the local wrx group for stock headers/uppipe and bob's your uncle. I just did this myself.
