I say if you are going through the trouble to pull the head you might as well replace any gasket you can
it will save you it will save you time in the future. If you don't pull the engine the hardest pat is shimmying the head(s) in and out.

I would agree with Matt, if you can afford the torque wrench it is a very good investment.

I did mine two weeks ago and tightened them all in sequence then loosened them and torqued them and they have been fine i did mine to 110 in/lbs which really didn't seem that much.

yea but the fast way always ends up biting me in the ass. there is a reason the rocker arm assembly needs oil and i think it should be that way and not the quik fix for now. I like to do things the right way if i can help .

Yea that seems to be the way i am heading .

I got three sets of legacy ss head at my house so i was wondering if i could bleed the lifters out of one of the other heads and do the pull a Houdini and swap them? This will save me time that my car is apart.

Bad lifter noise

So I have done a few searches and didn’t get anything too close to my problem. i replaced my head gaskets and all other seals in a set of EJ22T heads i got that had been port and polished. I didn’t soak the rocker arm assembly in oil pre-install. Everything is together and i used 10w30 royal purple ...

I would say get your self some old 2.5rs rims with some 215/45/16. personaly i would go to discount tires because i have got screwd too many time by the Rack.
Falken tires are really good i have always liked them and Khumos

Fun fact: those rims are lighter than real GAB wheels

I faught this for a long time and it turnned out to be a head gasket. so you may have a shop test it out.

A little trick is using a large funnel in the filler tank and let it come to temp. Add water as needed and wait. if it still bubble then its doomed

my car is over heating and there are no apparent leaks, i swapped in a new td05 16g and drained the system of oil and coolant. i filled everything backup and it started over heating. i thought it could just have some air bubbles so i let it run until the thermostat opened mean while little bubble of...

A gas filled strut like an AGX will only exert a few pounds of force and would have a very incremental effect on ride height, however, the position of the spring perch can change the height of the car substantially. I would also say that a strictly race strut like our Advanced Designs at GC have ove...

Do you already have the GR2’s? Because i would suggest that you get the AGX’s then you could get a Ground Control kit with custom spring rates/lengths. AGX’s are usually 55mm body using a 4’’ sleeve. the GC top hats for a WRX year 02-03 are the same for our legacy’s 91-94 turbo. let me know if thats...

These are the plates in question that let you run really wide tires... http://www.ground-control-store.com/products/description.php/II=150/CA=97 you actually can't use these plates, they are too tall for the legacy. I tried mounting them on top and underneath the strut tower and it just didn't work...

My car seems to know when the seasons change cause every spring when the weather really starts to worm up it will do what i can only describe as blipping the throttle which gives the whole car a small but sudden jerk. Could this be related to the knock sensor? It ran all winter with no problem and d...
