66bucks for a new knock sensor and she runs beautifully.. except for the idle.

This is more or less where i got to this weekend. Every so often the idle would jump to 2000 (smooth-running) then falter back off down to 1500-1800 and the car woudl then jump and stagger.

I took my car to my mechanic earlier today and the leak is actually from my steering rack (which apparently uses atf). Off to the junkyard I go to try to find one.

Yeah, they are a SERIOUS bitch. I have yet to hear of an easy wheel bearing in a Subaru. Not to say they can't be done, it just that they are a bitch.

Uhh... I was pretty sure even RHD Legacies had their coolant overflow tanks mounted on the left side of the radiator. It doesn't seem to make sense to hide an overflow tank, as you generally check its level by looking through the side of the tank.
