Re: need help - looking at 2004 wrx

He seems legit. I went and looked at it today. The body has its share of scratches, dings, and chips. Some of the dings could possibly be fixed with the "no paint" method. Some of the scratches are deep, but still above primer. There's a little hint of rust inside the gas door - it looks l...

Can anyone tell me if there's any reason I shouldn't buy this car? Carfax is clean. http://rockford.craigslist.org/cto/1778844549.html I have $200 down to hold it. I plan on looking at it Saturday. Anyone happen to know something about this car or owner? Oh, and I still check in here and there. My l...

Looking at a new leggy

Check this out: http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/cto/1674823293.html Thoughts? Carfax checks out. He said it was swiped in a parking lot in 2008 though. Replaced 2 pass doors and touched up the rest. I think I'm going to get a closer look tomorrow. It's not a GT limited, nor has a turbo, but I might ...

Re: Had a run in with Bambi today

I found better pics of it on autotrader.com and it looks like it has some dings on the right quarter and something's going on near the tail light on the left quarter. I have a parts car with a good door and fender, so I'm probably going to throw that on, fix the trouble, and sell it. Or maybe keep i...

Had a run in with Bambi today

It's been a while since I've been on here. I still lurk here and there still and check the ashtray out. But I decided to post that I smacked into a deer - actually it hit me - with the SS today coming from work. I live in the 'burbs now with my wife and there are a few farms in the area. I was doing...

Guess what? The real joke's on us! We are all going to foot the bill for this!

Is collective lunacy great?

Local yumminess for sale.

Even if I talked him down to the 5k it's worth, I'm just not in the position to buy something like that. I still might go take a look see.

Check it out!

There's no question that there are producers calling the shots and scripts to follow most of the time. That said, I believe Top Gear is the best damn car show I've ever seen.

Unfortunately attention goes both ways. I had to take my first leggy to the dealer for some work and it got broken into while parked outside. The small blue leds in the foglights that ran 24/7 and the red/white cb antenna on my trunk kinda drew the wrong attention during the night. I really think it...

I would have beat down a few of the guys running past. Not like they'll have insurance to cover your car and nobody cares about aliens anyway—it's not like beating an animal or something. Come to think of it, I wonder how many serial killers live near the border. Sounds like a book, but I don't wri...

Meanwhile, everyone fails to notice the white elephant in the room. If congress is going to put restrictions on automakers and call for their CEO's jobs, they should do the same with the UAW. They are as much a part of the problem as unprotected sex is to AIDS. I can only guess that, at best, they'l...

I freaking hate coolant issues! Man, If I had a dollar for every time I was working on a car and got so into it I had coolant running down my arms and into my sleeves/armpits, I'd have enough to buy a steak dinner for sure. The smell of antifreeze, burnt or not, makes me cringe sometimes...

Premium vs Regular in a snowblower

What, if any, negatives would there be to using premium in a snowblower that doesn't explicitly ask for it? It's a big ass Honda 2 stage 36" wide 4-stroke with a hydrostatic-type automatic transmission? It was probably built after 2004.

This should have been posted with a vote attached to it. Love it? Hate it? Indifferent?

I like it but I'd never want to own it. Not my style.

Props to the guy who did it. At least it's not the old ketchup and mustard scheme.
