With my 92 Legacy Turbo, can I replace the original rad with one from a wrx or sti?

Would I get any benefits?

Replacing the tranny is not an option for me. I like the auto, and do not wish to convert just for the sake of performance.

I just want to know how much I can push before the tranny croaks.
