Eratic fuel gauge
Hi I have just got in and the fuel gauge on my '94 Legacy estate is playing up. It registers correctly then slowly goes down low then slowly registers correctly again. This is not the normal slight movement of the fuel in the tank when going up or down hill. Any ideas? I have looked for the fuel sen...

Yes I have cleared the codes and run active dignostics. The active diagnostics does not show anything other than the intermitant CEL. I have run out of ideas even the select monitor at my local dealer does not show any faults except a TPS slightly ot of adjustment, it is going to be adusted soon but...

O2 sensor voltage not changing at 2500+ RPM
Hi I have now got the car through the emisions test with good emmision values, it was a MAF sensor causing the high CO value. BUT the ****** CEL still comes on intermittantly (code 32). I have now checked the readings at various speeds and find that the voltage is not ranging up and down, between .2...

Hi I had the same problem on a Peugeot but not so bad. It would bubble but not lose the coolant. I tried all sorts of ideas but in the end i did the head gasket -a real nasty job on the pug - and this fixed it. If you want proof you should find that a workshop near you has a 'sniffer' which can dete...

Work done!
The problem started with a very occasional CEL. This gave a code of 32, lamda sensor, so i changed the sensor for a subaru part. No difference so i made a device to read the voltage from the lamda. OK at tickover but high a 2500+rpm. Failed emisions test with a high lamda value! So i checked the wir...

High CO value
Hi What a privilege to put the first post on the drivetrain. Good look with the BBS. :D Has anyone got any ideas how to lower the co value on a legacy. Yes i know i have posted this elsewhere but i am clutching at straws. My Legacy failed MOT again yeateday with a co reading of 1.7%. An ideas much a...
