Yes, it's awesome you can easily get the plunger for the solenoid now. They get crazy pitted after a while, too. It's crazy how many people go out and buy reman starters when the problem is easily fixable.

3 bolts each side to remove the old one, then new one goes in. Have fun with the long bolt, though.

Yep, this will definitely help the car feel more solid with RUBBER bushings, none of the binding (and crumbling) problems with poly bushings.

And running newer endlinks will make a world of difference going from the tired stock ones.

A sport sedan is a good 3200 at least, and STIs range from 3200 to a tad over 3300. I don't think any AWD Legacy is much under 3100. My wife's '91 FWD is 2900 (with an auto), so I can only imagine a poopy FWD L 5spd being 500lbs lighter than an STI.

I have the front end of my '89 GL wagon engine tore apart and it's my first time digging in this deep. So now I'm trying to get everything put back together correctly.

It doesn't really do it at idle per say, but at a high idle. I still think everything is fine, and that it's just a quirk of the engine management.
My '93 has had the slight miss at high idle since the day I got it over 5 years ago.

See, I am torn on this issue. I see all the shops that race turbo Subaru engines recommend high oil grades. The higher heat from the turbo, which holds it very close to the heads thins out the oil, IIRC. Many of them run 20w50 on a motor that's racing.
