You still haven't really told us what you're looking for. Are you doing this to raise the car, or just to get an AWD swap? Getting parts from an AWD legacy and converting it that way would probably be easier than going the forester route, but then you won't sit as high.

TPS Repair Possible?

I just picked up a spare legacy with a bad TPS. You hit the gas, and the car goes nowhere. Maybe if you're lucky and play with the throttle enough, the car will move 3 feet. Now this may be a dumb question, but can I fix the sensor on the car, or do I need a new one? I haven't really looked at it, b...

I added a similar system to my car, and it seems a little "crisper" all the way around. As far as results on paper go, using the Scantool, before the grounding mod, my car voltage was at low to mid 12v's, with the mod, voltage jumped from upper 13v's to low 14v's. I think a 2 volt jump is ...

I've learned to do the work myself, esp. since it's an import. Nobody knows how to work on subaru's around here. It's cheaper that way too. But you're right, it's very frustrating.

That's how you check codes, and what they all are.

It's under that black hose. 4 bolts hold it on to the side of the intake I believe. Have you checked the codes? It could be the IAC, or maybe the throttle sensor. Just a guess. I'd check codes first.

The pump itself wasn't grinding, just the bearing behind the pulley was. I've already replaced that with a new NSK bearing. When I tore the pump apart, it looked fine. After I posted I went back out to the garage and checked it all out. I tightened the belt up a little, checked the fluid, bled the P...

More PS problems. Pump seizing up.

Alright, I had been having problems with my power steering pump, so I replaced the bearing. It was missing half the balls and was grinding terribly. I put a new bearing in, and got everything back together without a problem. It seemed to be working fine, but the pump has been locking up entirely. Th...

well, it was john deere yellow for a night. The special filler primer they have you use is bright yellow. The car kinda looked like a taxi. I'll dig up the pic.

Belt Slipping causing problems

After I replaced my timing belt, I did the serpintine (sp) belt as well. I noted that the PS pump bearing was nearly gone, so I'd have to fix it eventually. Well, my PS started acting really funny, and I could hear the belt slip when I'd start the car up, so I replaced the bearing. My problems still...

+1 for the timing belt. Mine did the exact thing. I replaced the belt to find that the old belt had a tooth half ripped off, and a 5.5K rpm run got the belt to slip and threw my timing off when it was warm.

Well, from the reading I did, apparently the GC guys at scoobymods say it helps along with the tranny and engine mounts. Word is that the STi link is the same as the 95 L Impreza. They compare it to the '99RS pitch link. Here's the link: http://www.scoobymods.com/forums/showthread.php?t=168 I called...

Swaybar endlinks, or mount bushings? I haven't had the chance to use the liquid poly yet, there hasn't been a time where I can let it sit for 24 hours to cure off the car (damn daily-driver!) I will report back when I'm done with it though. As far as the swaybar bushing stuff goes, I know I've seen ...

Rims are 16x7 Sparco Rally Wheels wrapped in 205/50's Kumho 711's. Don't worry, it's not that scary. http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/2323/subaruzn8.jpg There she is, my 90 FWD L. I've done a lot of work on it.
