but I should disassemble it like you did?
If worse comes to worst, and I need the kit, where'd you get yours from? It doesn't seem too complex to take apart, so I'm not too worried

Replacing Powersteering bearing
The bearing on the front of my PS pump is nearly shot. It's missing half the ball bearings and it tends to catch and cause the belt to slip. I have no idea how I should go about getting it out though. I read Legacy777's powersteering pump rebuild post, and I got the bearing number and purchased it f...

So I didn't find too much stuff for the front bushings. I had thought about some generic 18mm poly bushings from energy suspension, but I didn't want to fab up a mount to hold them in. I just bought factory replacement bushings from the dealership for $9 a piece. I did notice a tighter feel when I r...

For replacing the swaybar bushing that goes inside the bar I just purchased new rubber bushings from subaru. They weren't too expensive. There is a price difference of like a dollar for the FWD and AWD top bushings. The physical difference between the two top bushings is that the FWD bushing has a s...

Front Swaybar Mount Bushing Options?
My front bar is desperately in need of new mount bushings, the old ones are just destroyed. I had my car in the ditch and bent the control arm, I'm amazed that the bar itself didn't break, but no worries. I've already got the whiteline front endlinks and I was wondering what I could do for new bushi...

Stiffer Pitch Link?
I was browsing around some impreza stuff and saw an STi Pitch Link. I was wondering if an impreza link was swapable for our legacy link? Besides the fact that ours is steel and the prez' is plastic the link looks about the same, I thought about taking a trip to a yard to measure things up and see if...

Opinions on Liquid Urethane
I had seen a post on filling the tranny mount with liquid urethane, so I decided to do a little research. I found these links: http://importnut.net/motormount.htm and http://www.homemadeturbo.com/tech_projects/poly_mounts/index.html Basically they take 3M window weld and fill the motor mounts on hon...

Mysterious Rear Spindle Bushing?
Well, it seems that I've solved the mystery of my crazy backend. I got under the car today and was looking around. I jacked up the rear passenger side and had my brother push and pull on the side of the wheel. I saw a lot of play coming from the spindle bushing. even the end of the trailing arm was ...

How many miles have they been on the car? I know after I installed my GR2's, I had squeaks and I gave it a few weeks to settle and break in and they all went away. You could check other bushings too, there may be some with excessive wear on that wheel, it does happen (and I'm very familiar with it).

Track time sounds like a awesome thing, I'll definately consider it. Toe out could be part of my problem as well, I know one of my rear bushings was bad and made things so loose that going around a turn caused the brake to rub. I was figuring on an alignment now that I have my control arm replaced, ...

Wrong tire pressures and braking in a corner are the most likely culprits. By the way, you only live 60 miles away from me being in Carrollton. About 1.5 hour drive. I'm sure I'm mostly to blame. I'd love to take professional driving lessons. I think I need new swaybar mounts for the front bar, aft...

yeah, I was doing some research on oversteer, and read about how too much front pressure can make it occur. I only have air in one front tire, cause the other blew out. Gauge was at 50psi (44psi max for the tire) so it was definately over. I was testing my new Kumho 711's and it drove just like it d...

Is my suspension acting normal? Backend kicks out!
I have a 1990 FWD L, and the backend is unsettled easier than any car I've ever driven. It has a tendency to come out beside me- oversteer?, and the last time it happened I ended up in a 4 wheel slide down the road when I took a corner recommended at 40mph at 60 (well, ended up in the ditch with a b...

How to title a vehicle?
I got a jeep on ebay, and the guy didn't have the title (didn't find out til I got there). I got the jeep anyway since it was only $500 bucks, and I wanted to try and get it titled. I did some searching online and I found a few sites but they looked kinda shady. I was wondering if anyone had any exp...

90-92 Rear Swaybar Bushings??
The 90 to 92 rear bar uses bushings on the ends to connect to the droplinks, when I replaced my droplink bushings I noticed the bushings in the end of the rear bar are really shrunken. So much that there's a LOT of play with the bar sliding to end side of the droplinks when it shouldn't at all. Are ...

There's no way a timing belt can cause that. It could be a coolant temp sensor, but if you say the problem goes away when you remove the backseat, I can't help but feel really sure about it being a fuel pump connection problem. For the hell of it, the sensor part # is 22630AA041, and it lists for $...
