I heard it's almost 200Ft.lb? I'm looking at a repair manual now, I know my Car has keys to unlock the CV from the Inner Axle a...

All I can say is stay away from AutoZone or Checker axels. I trashed two in less than a year. I replaced them with units from a local place called Driveline Specialties, and have had no problems. Also, I only use factory spring pins. Some people use others without issue, but my piece of mind is wor...

Phil definately makes it sound easier than it is, that axle nut can be a complete and utter bitch to get off. It's been known to break more than one socket in it's day... I have yet to do one of my axles because I got tired of trying to get the axle nut off after a 1/2 hr of PB and breaker bar exte...

ANY Mechanic will be able to replace an axle. Or you could do it yourself and save $264 from the place you took it. Search here, there's many topics covering axle removal and install. I've heard the hardest bolt to get off is the Axle bolt. and to remove the axles you have to tap on them from what ...

Maybe I should get into bikes ... every house I look at has two car garages at most and that's Legacy wagon and '84 GL hardtop. I also plan on an Elise in a couple years, so I don't know where that'll go. I could fit four bikes in a two car garage easy and it would cost much less. I don't have a ga...

If you lost a bearing out of your CV then yeah, you definately need to replace that. I've let my CV's go pretty far before, once to the point of the outside race broke, yes it is referred to as a race and I've heard it called a racetrack as well, and the remaining balls fell out and the axle just s...

That's a good idea. Some people just don't like to ride, and some people are scared of it. I got a 600cc as my first bike, and I feel like it was an appropriate move. It wasn't brand new, it had miles, it was inexpensive, and it's not as powerful as the newest generation of 600cc rides. I'd most li...

One of the balls fell from the racetrack? I don't believe I am familiar with that part of the car.... Unless you mean wheel-bearing. And if you lost a bearing from the wheel bearing, you are in for a world of trouble. Best to replace the bearing. No.. You understand a CV joint have ball inside a ca...

I guess it's both that are making the brake petal harder to press after you been spinning around in the snow.

I have not bother seing if it is the same on my impreza because I don't want to get stuck in the snow.

Which is why I ask some of my impreza questions here. I was going to try and locate a FWD to pull the stuff from. From w...

That's weird; you ought to get the most boost in that situation. Hmm maybe thats what I'm feeling... Just thinking about it, it seems it just reads the speed from the wheels and maybe the rate of the car is moving? however say going I dunno 80 Mph and pressing the brakes down does not have the same...
