There are more plugs, but almost the same number of wires. What do you mean by "I mean the wire colours?" If you patched the EJ22T ECU into where the EJ18 ECU now sits, you'd only need to add a handful of wires afterwards. I'm not saying that's the way you should go; I'm just offering it ...

Which is the wiring harness right? the guy said he would pull all those, so how many "extra" wires would I be fitting in then?
well I would have the whole ECU from the EJ22T as well as all the wires.
I just don't understand what you mean by clipping the wires.. Why would I want to clip the wires to the EJ22T that came from that motor but going in a 95 Impreza L?
Hey sorry to bump this old thread, but i'm doing a search on the EJ22T and I ran into this thread. I want to swap the EJ22T into my 95 Impreza L, So I don't need the wiring harness from the Legacy then? I will be getting the ECU from the Legacy, but so it seems I'me just moving some wires around in ...
