Hey is the diamond coils packs u talk of the same the JDM RS and WRX coil on plug coils? cuz those things cant even handle 17+ psi only firing one plug

Also another thing to be considered is valve angle, the wide angle of early quad cammed EJ's wouldnt be possible with a one cam per head set up

Nah big ends are the weak point of some EJ's. The ej's in question are EJ20H and EJ20R from the BG/BD TT legacy range. Rod bearings are a very comin failures in these engines even if they are completely stock. The stress of the TT system means they let go if the cars had a hard life.

Yeah heaps of ppl have P1 heads and a turbo block, its called a EJ20G, my car has one

Slyjonno, how much oil are we talking, a film or like a puddle in the intake (collection) if it gives a little puff on first start up in the morning thats pretty commin on EJ's and flat engines in genral.

Vf-8's are the turbo that comes on JDM legacy RS engines, im sure the ole ea 82 may have a smaller unit

hey slyjonno, are u a member of the RS liberty club or club sub? u should join up there as they deal with our type of engine and car more than hear, and the diff between low and full on our engines is 1ltr, and with the filter in u will need about 5ltrs oil all up to bring it to full mark

Fix the coolant leak then see what happens, seems a bit werid tho

I DON'T BELIEVE THE, PART THROTTLE FULL BOOST = BAD. I think that Subaru engine managment is bad for it. If the ECU gave the engine enough fuel for the boost it was running to keep the A/F nice and rich it would be fine. And if you hook up the wastegate line right it won't over run the turbo. :)[/qu...

Nah nah bro, they run 9-11 psi on stock JDM cars. They are only good for up to 14 psi nemore then ur just making hot air

If its a TDO5 off a early WRX it will fit no sweat

Curious....I can't remember what color my injectors are at the moment...I actually want to say gray...but this I know for a fact, they are 440cc, and I think side feed. But I have a 94 wrx EJ20G (closed deck block) swapped in. So this has always confused me...I often here people talk about STI 440c...

Yup STI's never came with Garret turbo's only the IHI VF series. If u do get a STI turbo you wont need a external wastegate because they have internals that do there job well. I'd get a VF 34 or VF 22 if i was u both are good for over 200 KW (280hp) at the flywheel.

Yeah dont ditch the twin turbo set up just fine tune it. One commin upgrade is to make a hybrid on the primary (small) turbo by putting the compressor and turbine wheels from the large turbo in the the small turbos housing.
