Bushing Question

Hey just a quick question about control arm rear bushings and diff carrier t bar bushings. Im looking to replace the extra loose and old bushings and was wondering if there were any differences between the GC bushings and ours. I was looking at buying them from Rallispec, i bought new lat-link bushi...

If i remember correctly you should be able to get just the heater core section of the box out without messing with the A/C but dont quote me on that. The box should be held in with maybe two or three bolts connecting to the firewall. The heater core is still going to have coolant in it but since the...

Some people have picked up N/A canisters without the secondary purge and removed the valve. Just make sure you plug the line into the intake resonator and remove the T on the line from #1 cyl going to the pressure sensor.

I also have a few motor/manifold pics from when i first got the car. I pulled the manifold entirely and cleaned the top of the block for S&G's.

Just a thought if its moving but sticks. Get out a small screw driver and put some grease on the tracks. Mine would stick all the time and leak. I pulled the whole thing out. Sanded the rail seals and used some windshield sealant. Cleaned the tracks entirely and i havent had a single problem with it...

I fabricated a set of flanges for the OE WRX BPV, seems to work FAR better then the plastic one did.

I just need to make a coffee mug with a 1.25" recirc. barb so i dont have the 1.25" to .75" reduction.

The small line to the BPV (By-pass Valve) is the vacuum reference from the #4 cylinder. Under vacuum the valve is open and pressure it closes. Once you close the throttle plate when shifting it will open the valve to relieve any pressure in the charge pipe back into the intake. If the nipple off the...

The aftermarket deck should have come with its own harness that plugs into the unit to bare wires. If you dont have one you need to prolly just get a newer deck for like $50 or less with a harness. You might be able to get one from Pioneer but on such an old deck it might not be worth it. The Metra ...

ECU EPROM Header??

Hey just wondering if anyone knows why there are two headers around the ECU EPROM? Was this for the initial programming/calibration?

Looks like this:

Personally socket heads are far harder to strip out then phillips but thats just me. Not like you need to torque them down very much at all... its just a matter of the RTV seal on the plate and throwing some locktite on the threads for security

Well its bolted to the top of the block so you would be fairly hard pressed to get at it from underneath. Best way i found was a deep well 14mm or 12mm (cant remember off hand) and a long extension and you should be able to get right at it. Kind of a pain to get the thread started with the new one, ...

Make sure you have your feed/return lines correct. I made that mistake when i changed out a motor.
As for the pumps the T-leg pump actually flows more then the STI or WRX pump, and they are both different. Just get a walbro and be done with it.

Uh, the wrx uses a different size clutch plate then the OEM SS tranny does. Did you install a WRX flywheel too? The WRX clutch disc is a tiny bit bigger, it was always my understanding that you had to change the flywheel, pp and disc. That's what I did at least when I went with a wrx setup. If the ...

I do believe you are talking about the front crank vent line. Its a plastic line running from a vent on the front of the block by the oil pressure sender to both heads correct? Your IAC valve air source needs to be a non-pressurized source. Right, i put the BPV in between the stock line running from the intake resonator box and the IAC. Thus allowing flow from the intake (not pressurized) to the manifold post TB via the IAC under vac, but it will close under boost. Since ...

So a whole lot of views and not many responses, heh. Anyways i got bored and figured i would do some experimenting. Since im running a WRX BPV i have the old plastic BPV sitting around. The problem is the IAC is letting boosted air back into the intake and it runs like trash. I put the BPV in line w...
