help! automatic locks just broke

hi all, got my car back from the mechanic's only to find that they broke my locks while there. long story.. when i put my key in the driver's side door lock to open the car - it just spins. so, what do i need to order? a door lock tumbler? should that solve it? and i'm looking to replace it myself, ...

nope, it happens whether the wheels are turned sharply, or not.

what's that noise??

ok - it happens everytime when accelerating from a dead stop. (and even more more so - if i have to accelerate quickly) it is certainly underneath the car (i can somewhat feel it - about center on the chassis - direclty below the dash area.) it will go away when at cruising speed. its a rattling fee...

i agree, i really should take care of these looming mechanicals..
will probably address the t-belt, water pump, fresh fluids, new pads, and new front tires.
