Re: Nevada - SOLD: 91SS 5MT Robtune.

Update: Nick (from Portland), who is a member here and has been looking for a while, showed up today and drove her away! Best of luck Nick, and I hope you enjoy her as much as I did.

Re: Nevada - FS: 91SS 5MT Robtune.

Hey Scotty, I'm also super interested when you're ready. I live local-ish to you (Boulder City). Not a kid who will kill it or myself, haha! I miss having a first gen in my life badly and the wife has agreed to the idea of me replacing my newer car with something I'll actually love... -Nick Boulder...

Re: Nevada - FS: 91SS 5MT Robtune.

Not sold, back in the fall a couple of possibles fell through. So, I just drove it through the winter, so add another 1500 miles to the ODO. Been too busy with work to focus on selling again, but now that spring is on the way I'll pick up the thread again. I really want it to go to an enthusiast ins...

Re: FS: 91SS 5MT Robtune 22T daily - rust free Nevada

OK, I am selling for sure. Had a few guys contact me but lining up schedules was hard the last couple of months. Between now and January it will be a lot easier on my end.

Anybody interested before I list her locally?

Re: Feeler: might sell my 91SS 5MT Robtune 22T daily

I have an interested party in PA (Dan S.), he'll make his decision by the end of Sept. Email if you want to be added to the dibs list. I took some quick video for Dan to give an overview, if I get serious about advertising it later this year I'll do up some better video then. https://www.youtube.com...

Nevada - SOLD: 91SS 5MT Robtune.

Well, the way life is going, I am really thinking of selling my '91 SS. I finished my Ph.D. this year, have kept the family in meals and shoes, but car tinkering time is no longer possible and as the kids get bigger I need to switch car priorities. UPDATE: SOLD! Best of luck to Nick, who will I'm su...

No way, I actually have this! The other side was wrecked, sadly.

FS Reno: Garage cleanout! EJ22T, parts bonanza, etc.

Hey LegCent folks, I'm posting this here even though I know most of you are not in my area. Some of the parts that are smaller I will keep around and be willing to mail out if they are not sold locally. OK to post "interested" just so I can get to you in order should the time come. No, I h...

Re: EJ20G "RobTune" Info

Sounds like something is heating up and losing connection. Could be a problem created by or related to your previous bad connection and arcing. I would check/replace plugs/wires and examine wiring harness connections to the coil pack. If you can substitute a coil pack that would be a top item to tes...

Re: CFK's 92 SS Daily/Project (Updated Jan 13, Dyno & More P

Oh my gosh, what a nightmare. Sounds like they make a mistake or worse. They seriously should rebuild it on their dime, as they already charged you huge dollars to do a FULL rebuild. That is on them unless you took a hammer to the shaft before you reinstalled. Maybe the cartridge was not really OK a...

Re: 92 SS - Rob Tune Dyno Results.

I just did the RC tank around the Walbro assembly, no second pump or anything. Honestly I don't remember the specifics of the tank model I used, etc., but it was basically following directions that I found on one of the major forums (perhaps even this one). The directions I followed did not mention ...

I also did the RC plane tank mod when I installed the fuel pump. It has worked perfectly for like 5 years.

Also just make sure that all wiring and connectors associated with spark are either refreshed or otherwise solid. Grounding too.

Re: EJ20G "RobTune" Info

Yeah, think about it this way: rich is safe. Given the fact that Rob is mailing out a tune for cars with 20 year old fuel and wiring systems, and all manner of various airflow differences, allowing them to run at 11.0-11.5 (mine runs at 10.8-11.3 depending) is just fine. Running the ragged edge is f...

So, you don't think that turbo at 16+PSI is too much for the 440cc injectors?

AWESOME! thank you. Yeah I know it usually takes a little while for him to respond. It's not a huge deal since the car runs exactly like it's suppose to with normal driving. Just out of curiosity (if you know) what is your AFR when doing a pull at around 18psi? Not the same conditions, but my AFR's...

Good upgrade clutches for N/A 5MT's?

So...I have an N/A 5MT from a 1.8 Impreza swapped in my 22T, and it's time to upgrade the clutch. With a TD04 at 16psi, I'm putting down a lot more than OEM for the tranny and OEM-spec clutches, and I'm tired of slipping it. What model/make is known these days to be a good upgrade for this power lev...

I get mid 20s mixed driving. Highway is really good, probably 30. Heavy foot town driving is less than 20. About like stock I figure.

Re: CFK's 92 SS Daily/Project (Updated Apr/17. MOTOR BLOWN,H

You'll have to settle on a target power level that your wallet and drivetrain can both deal with, and then do the work appropriate for that. I had the same questions rattling around and I finally decided that I had to cut it off somewhere. So, I stuck with the stock heads and configuration, and ran ...

Re: CFK's 92 SS Daily/Project (Updated Apr/17. MOTOR BLOWN,H

Stick with the motors you already have rather than buy another potential headache. If in doubt, have one of your 22T blocks pulled apart, replace rings and bearings, check pistons, rods, crank and deck, check cylinder specs, rehone. I had a local builder that I trust do this for me - I said that I w...
