compression test compression test compression test (head gasket) there is no reason why you should be building that much pressure to blow any coolant lines. unless your radiator cap is bad, and isnt letting pressure bleed off into the overflow tank. did you check the lines from the motor to the heat...

The customer felt that he should take it to the dealer, because he was within 1k of his warranty ending. He took it to Carr Subaru. I have always ...

Did the car run just fine with no codes before you shut it off? If so i would say its possible that you have a grounding problem, or a battery issue of sorts. check the voltage of the battery and then possibly do some resistance tests in your grounding system. If you had existing problems, im not re...

the last picture is of your overflow tank right? i think you really need to do a coolant flush. it will eliminate a lot of questions. It really does look like your head gasket is leaking externally. from what i can tell it looks like the head gasket is the graphite composite type gasket. which i hav...

well if they were a good body shop, they would know better than to move a car with out all engine components in good condition. But who knows i have seen some messed up stuff. its not good to run the care without coolant in the car, because the pump itself needs water too cool the pump internally an...

if its happening every 8 starts, i wouldnt worry about it too much. Check your coolant and oil, make sure its all good. Its not overheating is it? i have seen condensation do this before. If it starts to happen more and more often then i would get suspicious.

it will "bolt " up with no problems. But there are a few things that would need to be done to that motor specifically to ensure reliability. If either head gasket is leaking or it is the original head gasket, it needs to be replaced. The adhesive used on the original gasket from the factor...

I have done it. I drilled a hole for the pivot ball. it took a lot of measuring and patience. But they are all for double and triple disc clutc...

I cant remember exactly, but i think if you do the wrx suspension swap it will raise the car 1inch? go t...

you could just get a NA ecu, drop in a NA EJ22, and then switch the cam and crank sensors. and it should run pretty good, at least well enough to pass emissions. surprisingly its actually a really cheap way of getting around your problem

Yea the wiring could be painful depending on what manifold you use. But if you use your original wiring for the most part, placement of different sensors hasnt changed too much. Either way i see how wiring for some people might make it difficult. I know tons of people that are mechanical but cant wi...

Intake manifold adapter plate: feeler thread

so i have been toying with the idea of designing a set of adapter plates, to convert old style straight bolt pattern to the new style that has a bolt offset. So you would be able to have top feeds, new style 05-current LGT and 08 and newer wrx plastic style manifolds, and all other intakes with offs...
