during track days and really hard driving the 'wrist bands' are to prevent the hot brake fluid from expanding and leaking out all over the track, thus the terry cloth absorbs the fluid that may leak past the cap.

I wholeheartedly recommend WitchHunter fuel injector service!
I sent mine in for cleaning, testing and flow balancing and the end result was nothing short of amazing!

If I needed to replace my venerable SiouxBe I would

I can now tell you guys from experience... We installed the Walboro 255lph fuel pump, SARD adj. Fuel press reg. w/ gauge and 380cc pink Leggy fuel injectors and my '91 N/A Leggy didn't run very well on 50% gasoline and 50% E85...but it runs pretty well on virtualy 100% E85! No CEL's either! Now I ha...

Since you appear to be at Sea-Level, I would say go with the 4-layer MLS Subaru head-gaskets...but I think you'll still have to run premium. The phase II 2.5 short block in combination with your 2.2L heads will have a higher C.R. than with a STi short-block and SOHC 2.2L N/A heads that I am using an...

Timing on ethanol blends will not change very much. MBT timing for both gasoline and E85 are very nearly the same at light to moderate engine loads. At high engine load the E85 will want just slightly more advance. The big difference will be fuel/air mixture. The E85 will give improved torque with m...

E85

WoW! I can't believe all the confusion and dis-information about E85. Ethanol burns cleaner, combustion is cooler and it's 105 octane can you say MO POWER! I've been runnin' 25% of a tank of E85 splashed mixed with 87 octane and sometimes with 91 octane and overall my SiouxBe simply runs bet...

IIRC the C.R. is closer to 10.3
BTW the SOA part # for the H.G. I used is 11044AA610 4 layer multi-steel 2.5
I carefully drilled holes to match-up to the 2.2L heads.
End result is it works GREAT!

I am already driving my 2.2l SOHC heads with the STi short block set-up and I love it!
Use the 4 layer steel OEM Subaru 2.5l headgaskets and you'll be able to run 87 oct. pump gas no problem!
My dyno test showed 125 ft./lbs. of torque at the wheels!

Exactly why I got 'em...lower intake mani. temp.
This is my daily driver and my goal is always to
max. the over-all efficiency. I'm just not sure of
the effects of raising the intake mani. up 8mm.

There's a few threads on NASIOC in the NA forum about this. Pat Olsen did some dyno testing, with and without, and with his modifications he saw no "real" evidence that a TB spacer does anything. On a relatively unmodified car, it's been shown to give 1HP. Now phenolic spacers on the othe...

Anyone on here tried installing these yet?
They go between the intake manifold and
the heads.
