I wouldn't condemn it altogether without testing. Airflow can be very unintuitive. An example to illustrate: The following picture is of an airbox with its belmouth inlet tube: http://us1.webpublications.com.au/static/images/articles/i6/0652_4lo.jpg The owner tried to replace the inlet tube with one...

Throw the K&N away. :-D Not worth the potentially fouled MAF, IMHO. Of all the restrictions in an intake track the airfilter is usually around 2-5% of the total restriction (figures from the articles suggested below). That white air director in the airbox probably helps (assuming it's an OEM bit...

You could have broken the cable or cause it to bind up if you twisted it. If you messed with your clutch pedal height or you've got a floor mat that could also cause the issue.

Great, and pictures are always welcome. For the pickup location just bear in mind that a forward facing intake will not necessarily be best, locating the intake in a high pressure area is most important (ex. nearer to the vertical center of the front end, pressure is likely highest right at the bump...

FS: 1989-1994 Legacy Handbrake Release Buttons

Update 6/12/09: Black one sold, tan still available. After my e-brake lever release button broke on me ( story ) I thought it'd be a good idea to grab these last time I was at the junk yard. I have a tan and a black button. Each $2 shipped. Both have a hairline crack on the center shaft, but all of ...

If the previous owner disconnected the connector for the key warning switch to try and stop the beeping that would certainly cause code 31, and maybe 32 if they're on the same connector. Use the method I described in the original post to find the connector locations and check it out for sure. You ne...

That may indicate that there is something wrong with your ignition switch. It sounds like the computer is having trouble with the switch that indicates that the key is in the ignition, and the switch that indicates that the key is turned to on. Sounds like you may have a failing ignition switch, whi...

I actually just got some RCA adapters (2 to 1 then a 1 to 2, half assed to the max!) to convert the input to mono. :D Cutting holes in the drop ceiling tiles will be easy and the speakers I'm looking at are made to mount flush with a wall or ceiling, so it should look good. Wiring will be the real t...

Butchering a home 5.1 surround sound system is a brilliant idea. I'll check out that forum, Fkyx . gijonas , I knew someone was gonna say that. Okay, here's what I'm looking at right now. The more professional option would be: 4 of these speakers totaling $74.64 200 ft. of this 16 gauge wire totalin...

Alright I need a home audio expert...

I've been trying to research this myself but home audio equipment has quickly become complicated. I need some advice for a setup. It's not actually for my house, but for where I work. I'm kind of the building maintenance go-to guy so my boss asked me to look into this, and I'll be doing the work mys...

Update

I found the test connector, I think it's the two pin connector right next to the radio connectors, you have to take the radio out. You may still find the method I described above to be easier.

Also I picked up two buttons at a junk yard recently while I was there, one black, one tan, in case anyone needs one.

92-94 AWD Sedan (N/A) Rear Right Strut Cheap!

I need to get rid of this thing--I happen to have a rear strut assembly that will fit 1992-1994 non-turbo sedans, right side. I needed a left strut and a junk yard sold me this one which was marked wrong, I didn't realize it was for the wrong side until after I installed it (well after the return pe...

Got my flywheel and injectors back. The machine shop said according to his sources the flywheel isn't stepped, I thought it was, but his reasoning was sound (the wear surface was noticeably recessed). Got the heads together, will be putting them on soon. A few questions: Are there any bolts that you...

Block went together good, pistons and pins went in way easier than I expected. Spins alright, not brilliant. Oil pump installed.
