Re: Engine sluggish/bucking 1996 legacy

So my girlfriend finally brought it up to me and I started checking everything, timing was good, oil was a little low but not bad, nothing leaking, so I decided to just check the spark plugs. #1 kinda old rusty threads, #3 the plug wire comes out with no resistance. So I just replaced all the spark ...

Engine sluggish/bucking 1996 legacy

Hey guys! been a while. A buddy and I recently changed the water pump on my girlfriends 1996 Legacy L, pretty sure everything was lined up when we put the timing belt back on. The car ran better at first but now its sluggish when first accelerating and seems to do a little buck/stutter here and ther...

201,000 and BEYOOONNNDDDD!!!

So I just sort of realized my car has over 201,000 miles on it, still running strong but I was just wondering if there was anything major that I might need to look into, anything that might be a good idea to get checked or replaced (besides the usual)? In bike news, It warmed up a bit not too long a...

Awesome! I always get excited when I see another SS flying around (no offense NA guys :D ) In bike riding news im getting better with shifting (smoother), emergency parking lot avoidance skills were tested the other day, (one of those mini-vans that decide to take up the whole lane when you just tur...

Thanks, I love how the R1's look as well. I notice something leaking under my bike today and got a bit scared, but turns out it was just the fuel tank breather hose (so I think its normal for that to leak sometimes? parked in the sun so maybe some fumes expanded or something) I think when it comes t...

Oh yeah, I ran into my first rain today when I went to go fill it up...for only $13.00 by the way :D...it started raining, and since I don't feel all that comfortable about riding in the rain, I pulled into the Dairy Queen just across the parking lot for some ice cream and waited till it stopped and...

Thanks! :D About the whole 600 as a first bike thing I pretty much got.. 50% no way 50% no problem so not much help when you get that kind of info  I was looking into an 08 Ninja 250 for a long time but the availability of them just sucked around these parts. (plus I love how the R6S looks). An...

Oh yeah, I did about a month of research before deciding on anything, read through countless forums on what to do / not to do on a bike, plenty of you tube how to vids, all kinds of stuff. Saftey and situational awareness have been my top concerns throughout. There will be many late night parking lo...

Don't worry, I have riding boots (riding pants are on the way), just wasn't wearing them at the moment, Felt a bit clunky at the MSF course, but coming home it felt like I could feel comfortable shifting in my boots. We learned on shitty nighthawks with squishy suspension, drum brakes, and crappy ba...

MY R6S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey everyone, I finally did it. I bought an 08 R6S, so far I love it, getting insurance when I have some time to do so, then I can start doing some late late night parking lot practice. I took the MSF over the weekend and passed scoring the best out of my group. (don't worry, the legacy and the R6S ...

Thanks for the feedback guys :). I'm going to take the MSF once my new job starts and then I think i'll just go from there. I do agree that that ninja 250 looks pretty good (and from what I hear keep their trade in value pretty well)....but so does a GSX-R600, lol.

Hey Hey everybody!

Wow its been a long time since I posted here, guess I switched to keeping the legacy reliable and stopped tweaking things. She's still running great, a few hundred miles from 200,000. Problem is gas prices are murder and I've been thinking about getting some kind of sport bike (even though insurance...

Especially when you have to use the e brake to whip the rear end in line (your turning but not turning scenario), thats my favorite. I also kind of learned how to drive a manual from my sister, reversing is still a bit..... tricky, but its good to know that if there is an emergency and the only car ...

yeah 500 bucks for the core system= ridiculous. I actually prefer the xbox s controller, my thumbs are always slowly sliding off the PS2 sticks or they make my thumbs feel funny after a while, and the xbox controllers seem to fit my hands better.

Concave PS2/3 thumbsticks would be perfect though.

But, if you could put a little spinny thing in the exhaust pipe that was hooked to a fan in the intake hose... that would be way cool.
Ooo I know we'll call it a Turbocharger!! and we'll make BILLIONS!!!
