Re: Towing 90 Legacy
The difference between driving and towing is that you're loading the gears on the opposite side that they normally get loaded. In theory it should be fine towing faster, but I'm just telling you what's in the manual. http://main.experiencetherave.com/subaru_manual_scans/1990_Legacy_Owner_Manual_Sca...

Re: Towing 90 Legacy
The owner's manual states "When towing with all four wheels on the ground, the traveling speed must be limited to less than 20 mph and the traveling distance to less than 31 miles. For greater speeds and distances, tow the vehicle with all four wheels off the ground." So Subaru is not rec...

Re: A rather different BC7 - volcanic eruption
Ya, they can. The beach I like in town has a nice rally style entrance, 1/2 mile or so. But the real kicker is when Im down there, I usually end up towing someone whos buried their truck upto its axles, and then driving through the water to take their spot. Everyone gets a laugh except the chump in...

Re: 4eat rwd?
It is how they are built. Making an auto RWD only would be tough, since the transfer clutch would need to be welded perfectly straight, which is difficult to do. Not worth the effort anyways. If you want RWD, buy a Mustang or Camaro. A T56 and proper rear diff make life easy. i´ve done it, i pulled...
