That Hi-Lo tranny is awesome! Thanks for the pics! It's very interesting that the dealer installed a lift on every car in your country when it was delivered. You guys must have some bad roads out there. :) That is a very nice looking car.

not exactly OEM but installed by the dealer (yes there is only one dealer) in every legacy, impreza and forester from 1990-2004 (exept for turbo and GX models)
its just a 1" lift made from aluminium

the conventional wisdom with solid mounts is to solid mount the engine only, and put poly or delrin at the trans. if you hard mount the tranny only, you WILL crack a tranny case.

it's been like that now for a good 2000 miles of HARD driving, and nothing ...

like i said, the r180 as a RWD lsd is no good haha. weld it up!
from every one i talked to they said once you hit the wall you started doing really good . thats the thing with drifting, if you are scared of hurting your car you will never do good. but once its had a few love taps and you stop ...

I'm not saying you can't do it, I'm just telling you what's in the manual :)

meant no disrespect :D , just sayin, that if towing these cars with the wheels on the ground damages gearboxes then i must be really really lucky :-D
