92 SS 5mt Project car $1000 obo NW Washington
Burlington WA Selling my car because after 6 years of sitting I have realized I have no time and it needs attention now or never. Car has 240k miles, I have pretty much all the parts with the exception of some misc hardware, suspension (it has suspension to roll on but it’s not safe for the road cur...

Re: Big lifter problem..
I'm inclined to say its not your oil pump since its only happening on one Cylinder head, and if your pump is having trouble getting oil to the rockers I would bet you would have a seized cam by now, but from what your saying it dose seem to sound like your not getting oil into that rocker assembly. ...

Re: Timing belt WTF?
Update: We started final reassembly yesterday and I found that the bushing in the timing belt tensioner pulley seemed a bid loose in its bore so we swapped it the crank and the cam pulleys out for ones we had laying around (cam pulleys have rubber almost imbedded in them, I need to blast them clean,...

Re: FMIC Install and Tune Questions
Not to mention as old as these cars are getting it's a good idea to do a fuel pump anyway. I went to leave a buddies house one night last year, drove fine on the way there, fuel pump just said F-you I'm done when I went to leave, didn't even try to start.

^^^ THIS IS IMPORTANT, I've had to replace a lot of heater core hose that has been used for PCV on friends and customers cars due to leaks, and it doesn't take long to do so!

Re: Formula 1 on NBC Sports
Yea everyone has a point about this being and epic era with all the records the Vettel is breaking, but yea gets old only watching second place. If nothing else it should be entertaining to watch everyone iron out the massive rules changes this year. I expect lots of fiery engine deaths!

Re: Formula 1 on NBC Sports
Well now that the season is well over with I think I can say that NBC did an outstanding job. I have watched F1 on Speed for years and was a little worried about how NBC would do, but I ended up loving their format. I know a lot of people think Leigh Diffey is annoying, but he doesn't bother me. I a...

Re: Larger turbo.. GT35
Yea my buddy's car originally had STi running gear and an Exidy twin plate, he is running modded STi injectors but he was going to get some "real" injectors before he had his final tune done. He is still running a Hydra with a break in map, its only got about 600 miles on the engine. Like ...

Re: Timing belt WTF?
On initial inspection all the pulleys seem to be square, but we will double check for sure. It's rubbing on the back (engine block side) of the crank and cam pulleys. If you look close in the first pic you can see they are almost mirror polished on the inner lip.

My buddy ran/is running a Perrin gt35 kit on a stroked 22t block with 20g heads, lag isn't bad, relatively lol, but it hits like a goddamn freight train, I love his car, too bad he is being forced to sell it

Timing belt WTF?
So a friend and I bought this 93 L wagon to fix the oil leaks and the blown head gaskets and sell to a friend. Yesterday we pulled the engine and started to tear it down. When we got the timing belt covers off we found this! http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l9/subytech/Facebook/Cool%20stuff/1611977...

Re: New/Current Style Coil On Plug connectors
Well considering how hard it can be to find a wiring harness with these plugs, I paid $100 for my harness a year ago. Plus I never liked the "solder wires to the terminal and fill the connector with epoxy" route, just seems like your asking for issues down the road with that one. I know lo...

New/Current Style Coil On Plug connectors
I already bought a used harness but this will hopefully help/save some $$$ for someone else! I looked all over for someone selling these, but I think this is a new product for them since I bought my harness.

Re: 02/03 Tein springs on 93?
I don't see why not. I'm running 04 STi struts with Tein coils so I've had to swap to the early 90-91 top hats in the rear due to the taper at the top of the STi spring but if you are running non STi struts and springs then you should be fine with whats in your car.

Re: Wiring Tuck and consolidation
Just incase anyone is still watching this I'm still here. No progress so far since the holidays, was quite buisy with all the family in town, and now I'm swamped with side work, picked up 3 possibly 4 headgasket reseal jobs in the last few weeks so once those are done I'll start back on this.

Re: 2012 F1 season?
Well then FYI Speed lost their coverage after this year to NBC sports (they payed to much for NASCAR and had nothing left for F1 more or less) so if you get that channel maybe check it out. Helps if you have a DVR but they always replay the races that air live in the middle of the night. They stole ...

3/4"! Damn. Never had a need for anything that big. My half inch husky torque wrench goes to 250ft-lbs which I've never seen a bolt that required that much torque. Subaru actually does what they call a forced shipment whenever a new or updated tool that they require a dealership to have is rel...

I guess I would be considered a professional when it comes to my tools, it is how I make all my income. I have a small Snap-On chest and Matco's largest roll cart. I also have a $400 Snap-on 1/2 impact, $350 Matco 3/8 Impact, $300 Mac 3/8 air ratchet, and a $400 Snap-on air hammer along with about $...
